What patients say on Google

“Called to finally get therapy after 10 years , was on the phone for over 30 mins because and asks if I prefer female or male of course being a SAV I said female , she kept saying oh actually that one doesn’t accept your insurance multiple times , then assures me of another therapist who she sure would be a great fit has me download the app fill out all these personal prompts to then call me the DAY BEFORE. My appointment to tell me that now that provider doesn’t accept my insurance but there a MALE therapist that’s does I told them never mind, so there goes my first attempt of therapy in 10 years. Terrible experience! Not sure how you’re even allowed to do that to people.”

“Had a bad experience with this company. I started in late January and really liked the therapist I was talking to. Had about 3 or 4 sessions. The second session she canceled do to her being sick. Had 2 more sessions and the next session she never came on line (Telehealth) and charged me for the appointment. Went to a different therapist had about 3 Telehealth appointments and I had to cancel the last appointment which was the 31st of March due to finances. I messaged her to reschedule on the 27th and no response left another message on the 31st and still nonthing. Very disappointed in this company so be aware if you want services from this company.”

“I would tread carefully if considering this practice. They list types of insurance that they accept, but I was a told a new provider would need some time to “set up” their insurance, only to pay out of pocket and find out the provider was not going to take the insurance ever. Plot twist, though, because just before we were going to pull the plug on services, they suddenly decided that the provider *would* take the insurance (listed on their website) after all! Something isn’t right there. We had three family members seeing three different providers. 2/3 providers have cancelled appointments regularly; one was a no show/no call, terminating the client/clinician relationship during a really tumultuous time. All three therapists have been/were wonderful, but there’s definitely some communication problems with Renew. When the time came for a separation from the clinician, Renew did not offer much support other than offering to find another clinician (within their practice, of course). They even said a few disparaging things about the former clinician… which didn’t feel professional and certainly didn’t help with the end of the relationship. The other review is correct regarding Saturday appointments in Henrietta — the system to get in is a bit unprofessional. Therapists also share offices, which can feel impersonal. I feel like this would be a great practice to find a clinician you like, and then hope they enter into a private practice and take you with them 😅”

“Amazing experience. I have Andrea as my therapist. She is awesome!”
