What patients say on Google

“I had a gastroscopy here on Saturday, and the nurse gave me an IV. She was shaking terribly, which scared me a bit, so I asked her what was wrong. She said it was just habitual hand trembling. Sure enough, the needle went in, poked around in my vein a few times, and half a tube of blood flowed back out. My hand immediately bruised. It was still swollen the next day, and half of my hand was still bruised. They changed anesthesiologists, and they pricked my left hand. It was a little better; only about a quarter of my hand was bruised. The doctor was very gentle, but the nurse's IV technique was really frightening.”
