What patients say on Google
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finding Renaissance Health has been a blessing for my family. I first met Dr. Golden during one of the most difficult periods of my life, when I was experiencing mental health bias and misunderstanding from other systems. From the moment he walked into the room, he met me with compassion, respect, and genuine acceptance. He immediately put me at ease. Rather than making me feel like a diagnosis or another chart, he met me exactly where I was. And this is coming from a person with 27 years in the mental health field. Dr. Golden is incredibly knowledgeable, culturally aware, and deeply compassionate. As a Puerto Rican and White physician, he brings a level of multicultural understanding that is rare to find. As a Veteran, a woman of Palestinian and Egyptian heritage, and someone from a Muslim background, I felt completely accepted and safe from our very first appointment. That feeling never changed. A year later, when I returned seeking support again, he greeted me with the same warmth, patience, and nonjudgmental care as he did during my initial assessment. Consistency like that is priceless. He is also one of the few providers in the Cleveland area offering Spravato® (esketamine) treatment for individuals with treatment-resistant depression. Having a practice that embraces innovative, evidence-based treatments while maintaining such a deeply human approach to care is truly exceptional. What makes Renaissance Health exceptional is that the care extends far beyond the psychiatrist. The case management team has been incredibly supportive, the administrative staff has treated me like family, and the children's programs and summer activities show a true investment in the well-being of the whole community. At one point, when I didn't have transportation, a member of the administrative team even offered to give me a ride. My transportation ultimately arrived, but the offer alone spoke volumes about the kind of people they are. Renaissance Health has created something special. They embrace people with complex mental health needs instead of pushing them away. They celebrate diversity instead of merely tolerating it. They provide care that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and deeply human. You never feel like just another number. You feel known. You feel heard. You feel at home. Because of the care my family and I have received, I will be transferring my entire family to Renaissance Health. While they are well known for serving children, they also provide outstanding care for adults. At 50 years old, I can honestly say this is one of the most welcoming and supportive practices I have ever experienced, especially in the Cleveland area. Their groups offer lunch and drinks, for group attendees, I cannot forget. Such a lovely touch, it makes you feel like your whole system is part of the therapeutic process, not just your mind. Thank you, Dr. Golden, and thank you to the entire Renaissance Health family. You are making a profound difference in people's lives, and I hope you never lose the heart that makes your practice so extraordinary.”
