What patients say on Google
“Called the mobile crisis unit number on a Friday saying I was planning to come in Monday but was getting worse and scared I wouldn’t make it to Monday. They said “so what do you want me to do about it?” I said uh help? I don’t know that’s why I’m calling you. Said I feel like I may need inpatient and she told me to go to the ER then. Told her the ER turned me away twice and I’m anxious about that because of past sexual assaults while inpatient there she said “sometimes we gotta be a little uncomfortable to get help” said fine well I’m too dizzy from anxiety to drive she suggested an uber and told me “if you really wanted help you’d find a way” Couple days later police are called to my house for suicidal ideations. They told me I could be arrested and taken to rankin county jail or get my friend to take me to region 8. They told me they take 24/7 crisis situations. The website confirmed this. When we get there all doors are locked, called them, told us to go around to the back door by a patio. Nurse comes out and tells us they don’t do that and if need to get a referral and gave me the number I had called the other night. Finally go in the next morning and was given a crisis assessment. Then I was told I’d have to schedule a separate appointment for intake. Then after that I could schedule for therapy. And then after that I could see the doctor. So if you are in crisis there is no help and it will take four appointments to get help. Why even try.”
“24 hours before being admitted I started an antibiotic for a UTI. Since I am uninsured I had a family member call in the medication for me so I was unable to bring it to be during inpatient. For almost 2 weeks I begged to be prescribed an antibiotic and was denied and told they are not a medical facility and cannot help me. By the time I left my kidneys were inflamed and I could barely use the bathroom. The medication I was given caused diarrhea and migraines. My first morning I woke with the worst migraine I’ve ever had. The tech Amber kept turning on my lights and slamming the door and arguing with me about getting up to get breakfast even as I was sobbing about being in pain. One night at 2 am I woke up with stomach pain and had a small accident. The shower heads are next to impossible to turn on so I requested help from staff and was told I could not take a shower until after breakfast. After I disclosed through tears that I had a bathroom accident I finally got help to turn on the shower while the nurses/techs laughed at me. During my stay another patient had a very bad fall onto the concrete floor (possible broken tail bone) she requested medical attention and was denied. She was told she could leave AMA, but if she did they would no longer help her with disability applications. She decided to leave but they refused to give her her keys, wallet, and phone saying she’d have to wait until Monday morning (this was Friday evening) The walls are very thin and from my room I could hear therapy sessions and gossip from the nurses station. I got to go to bed at night listening to the staff make fun of me. Upon leaving I was surveyed about my experience. I pointed out that there is a schedule posted of therapy groups, but while you are there there is no group of individual therapy. The therapist told me that the tech who sits on the hall with us was giving us therapy but we just didn’t realize it. This is untrue and manipulative as they are just a tech and not certified with any licensing to facilitate therapy.”
“Began here to help with PTSD/depression/anxiety, I had to take a leave from work because of panic attacks. After I had three+ therapy appointments, and a visit with a psychiatrist (who promised me they would fill out medical leave paperwork for me) I returned with printed out paperwork for them to fill out (they said their system is not capable of emailing paperwork or faxing?) and paid a mailing fee. When I called back in to check if they had mailed it or even filled it out, they said “the doctors don’t do that anymore.”These are people who are mainly desk bound all day, and they couldn’t fill out paperwork that would take 10 minutes. If someone who came in without a crisis and patiently went through the process to get a medical leave validated for work, I can’t even imagine how they handle crisis situations. I grew to like my therapist, but I feel as though most of the therapists here are trained to only listen and offer anecdotal advice to recover from trauma. If you are looking for professionals who are indepthly trained with unique practices to help you get your life back together, do not come here. I felt like I wasted a month of my life.”
“How dare somebody dismissed me. I now have all my records in place. Even with pictures. And no!! You all tested me for COVID many times!! It was always negative!! But in St Dominick hospital after 10 days after being tested 5 times the 6 was positive. And it was positive cause I pushed out a golf ball size so that was greenish black out of my nose . And then when you put me in the state one 9 days later. (Check the court documents) (Mr Clark) Thanks so much for not listening to me!! Instead you listen to my husband. Look up how somebody acts with a severe sinus infection untreated. That is all I talked about!! And I explained I was deathly allergic to mold and then to breathe it in for 3 years before it got taken care of. Black mold!!! Behind the walls in kitchen where I'm always in. They only had to replace the whole kitchen walls because of it. It was caused because a hole in a pipe connected to the kitchen faucet. And that hole was part with caulking instead of replacing the pipe. And yes!! I have pictures of it all. I think I deserve an explanation of why nobody listened. Maybe one🤔 who did most the talking and told me to stop talking about mold. (My husband) Is it clear enough? I have a lot to show now. My medical records are one. Been going through it since 2017. Moved out of that "mold" in 2020. Now! Put the puzzle together. I don't think I should. 11 years of untreated infection in your body. Nothing like being chemo to death. First by mother nature and doctors who are supposed to do no harm. (Isn't that your oath you took) And then second by all the useless unnecessary prescriptions! Just to put a Band-Aid on symptoms. Instead of getting to the root problem that I kept talking about what it was. Nobody ever gave me what I probably needed. Instead you all knocked me out for 3 Days unconscious with haldol. And that was at merit hospital. And let's not forget even about ummc. Did I miss any hospital? No baptist to. Or let's see 🤔 is someone going to update or change my medical records? somebody already put on there that I'm a drug IV user, and anybody that knows me! Knows!! I! HATE!! Needles. Tattoos are different they don't go in your veins! But🤔 I don't have needles in my house at one time. But they were for B12 shot injection that goes in your muscle. Had to do because of a gastric bypass. I only could do it for about a few months then I went to liquid drops. (In my house got broken into many times of course) So who really knows who saw what I had in my house or the only other people would have been in? I kept them hidden. the pharmacy cuz they prescribed it. I said this many times when I was in the psych ward too many people at any doctors office knows! I almost passed out and have to look away and I shake. So how would I be one? I can post pictures of my proof of it. To prove to somebody how bad I've been mistreated in a way that was so uncalled for. Cuz all I have been asking for is to get this infection out so I can be myself again before I was exposed to "black mold" when I had Facebook anybody could tell everything that I was posted all crazy weird and bizarre started right at that time of that infection of that bad exposure take a look at that. I don't have it anymore but someone does. And if you look for me under Facebook, you might not find me unless you know my maiden name. Or the way I use my first name. I'll even put a extra spin on it. My husband family is democratic. I'm Republican and yeah you could find that on the internet. But nowadays it's gone way too far both sides. And Bob finally switched to Republican point of view because of me. And when I worked in the insurance industry. I was the only one said watch this stupid Obama crap pass. And everybody said no it won't and guess what it did. In my first thought was🤷 people don't understand free anything anit not even the air you breath. I know how to clear the infection in that spot that everybody misses and overlooked. 2 doctors I told agree.”
