“I am the daughter of the woman that wrote the review below (Carrie). The session she is talking about was with me, and I had to write this review to correct all of her fallacies. Julie has been a huge support to our family at a time when we needed it the most. The session she is referring to actually lasted 48 minutes, not 25. I had to pick up my children from school during the very end of the session, which Julie was not aware of. During this session, my mother lost all self-control because Julie was not telling her what she wanted to hear and siding with me. She started screaming at Julie and you could actually see her spitting as she was talking. Julie handled it with such professionalism, I was very impressed. The appointment we had with Julie before the session in reference was equally as bad. There was a point where my mother was demeaning and ridiculing me so badly that Julie actually stepped in and told her to stop and she won’t tolerate it any longer, at which point my mother hung up on us. Someone finally stepped up to her for me. Most people don’t because my mother has a way of retaliation that can be debilitating. My mother has behaved so badly, so doesn’t want this coming up in a court case that is pending. So, in her true fashion, she is trying to intimidate Julie by writing a bad review. My mother told a family member that Julie even tried to waive the fee for her, but my mother replied, “I want this woman’s business to suffer long term.” We are dealing with someone who isn’t mentally stable and Julie handled her with kid gloves the whole time. Julie was so gracious, knowledgeable, and supportive. Please disregard the review below from a scorned woman.”

“Charged large $3000 retainer, only used half, and said therapy was complete without refund. Also charged double for services for the first hour and wouldn’t schedule second appt until both were paid first. She (Julie) no called no showed to three scheduled appointments, horrible app - worst, and heavy religious influence (exactly what one is looking for when opening the mind). All would have been worth the hassle if there was any actual therapy. Paid thousands for an independent evaluation at best. The cherry was needing to forward her emails from the binning of the process that she comments denied ever receiving. Perhaps if she had read before responding, but the world will never know…”

“While able to provide an appointment on short notice, the therapist was unprofessional and did not seem knowledgeable in psychotherapy. She allowed a Zoom meeting to continue with a patient who had left the meeting for 10 minutes then reappeared in her car while proceeding to blow in her breathalyzer. She allowed the patient to continue talking while striving and being distracted by other traffic and emergency vehicles and still let her pull up and pick up her kids in the school pickup line while continuing to express her point of view. And without ever contacting us regarding the chaos of this interaction to discuss, proceeded to process a $275 dollar fee on an appointment that was, at best, 25 minutes. There are plenty of other mental health providers in our area who are more scrupulous and professional. I’ll be contacted SSM Health to remove them from their provider list.”

“Larry and Julie are the best therapists I have ever worked with—professional, smart, intuitive, absolutely nonjudgmental and very caring. I am 72, and I wish I had known them 50 years ago. They have several diverse areas of expertise, such as PTSD, addiction, and corporate culture, to name a few. I would recommend them to any of my family and friends.”
