“So I’m a new client. They are located on Glasgow the street near Academy and Lowes keep going on the right side. My first appointment was an excellent experience! I’ve been looking for a new counselor for a while and I think I finally found one I will stay with. John L. was very professional and caring and is taking time to get to know me. He used my preferred name and pronouns. He also had various quizlets/surveys to get to know me and how bad my anxiety/ptsd/past abuse is. Much better counseling provided here than at Gulf Bend and even better they accept my insurance Blue Cross blue shield. The office is very clean and nicely decorated as well; staff very polite I will be returning for more appointments.”

“I don't suggest this place if someone is suffering from an actual mental illness and needs real help. I've had 1 appointment thus far. I had to reschedule my 1st wk due to being in the hospital. Made my 2nd wk appointment. They didn't have an opening for my 3rd wk. Then tomorrow is my 4th wk. Well they can't do a zoom call with me tomorrow. I'm out of state rn and they said they can't do a zoom call out of state. So it's cool being 30 miles away (zoom call is fine) but 1600 miles is an issue??? All I would of had to do was lie! I broke down when the lady told me I couldn't do a zoom call bc I was in OHIO for a few days....I lost my words, started bawling, and hung up!!! Tbh I've NEVER heard of such a thing with any psychiatry or Dr's office unless the patient actually moved away! I've been in the medical field most my adult life, even went to nursing school, just recently changed professions! I don't feel this is a legit office. Something isn't right. As for my therapist. I really liked him besides when he made me kinda feel bad bc he didn't realize (???????) A 40yr old woman could get pregnant? Thanks, I been feeling bad enough w the fertility struggle I lost, I feel amazing he felt I was too old!!! He may want to research the oldest woman to give birth...it was twins and she was 74...but it's all good!!! This vacation I'm on is bc my mother has alzheimers and I came home to help out. Her having alzheimers is a huge reason I needed therapy to process and cope with what I am dealing with (not to mention major past traumas). Yet again I am stuck by myself and alone to process and deal with everything and all of my emotions and feelings. Such is life right? Not sure why I ever asked for help! Guess it's better to confide in myself than to pay ppl that obviously don't care! I feel scammed and let down by ppl and a facility I trusted to help. I don't want to see anyone else have to deal with the same issues. I suggest a legit psychiatry or mental health facility where the staff and therapists are actually equipped to deal with actual mental issues. Not whatever this place pretends to be! They are obviously not there to help!!! Regardless, Ima pray for them. I hope this reaches someone to make a better decision with a real psychiatry office or mental health facility!! As for me...I will never go back and I will NOT give a good recommendation! Good luck to whomever is reading this and considering this place for mental health help...you're better off asking a wall for help!!!!!!!”
