“I am a travel soccer coach of 10-11 year old girls. After our spring season I was looking for a way to get my team help with the mental aspects of the game and the skills needed for young athletes to overcome challenges on and off the field. I reached out to Dr. Will looking for ways how I could go about this. We had a conversation in which he said his practice would love to help and from there they were off and running planning an event for our team tailored to just what I was looking for. He even sent a brief survey before our event to our team members parents so the presentation could be tailored as specific as possible to our team. I believe the event itself was a great success. Will and his colleagues Kamryn McKinney and Joe Fontanals put on a presentation that was engaging to our team and interactive with the girl’s participation. This was a key element to the event, as the presentation wasn't just talking to the girls, but engaging with them, listening to them and their experiences and then relating it back to the topics, techniques and skills that were being discussed. I really think our team not only enjoyed this experience but also really did learn from it. For their first time putting on an event like this for a youth soccer team, I was extremely impressed by Will, Kamryn and Joe and the event they planned.
