“I was referred here by my new pcp for a quick check-in with a therapist to assess medication I've been on for 20 years for social anxiety. I don't have any issues but following my new doctor's request. my initial call to this office was quickly dismissed by whomever answers the calls. Their intake process is a significant barrier to care. After being rushed off the phone and redirected and told to download, complete, and return forms before even scheduling an appointment, I am concerned for patients struggling with severe depression or low motivation. This 'brush-off' approach creates a high hurdle that may cause those in desperate need of therapy to abandon their search for help entirely. I'd expect better from an office that literally includes "Behavioral Health" in their name. I am asking for a referral to another provider.”
