“It's a good place but the people that run it have there staff spread extremely thin. The food is real good! Jamie, "Big girl", Justin, Troy and every one else in the kitchen kill it! The staff that you deal with daily is mostly really good people and genuinely care. The place is rough in appearance, cleanliness and is just like jail or prison because of unnecessary, meaningless and thoughtless rules. I did get a lot from it and that was ONLY because I wanted to and the staff that cares does put forth great effort to help! ***On May 7th 2014”

“I would never send anyone I cared about here. Specifically this location in Radford VA. I've heard their other locations are not as terrible. I submitted formal complaints to my health insurance regarding my treatment here and hoping others will do the same. This place should not be an option. The food was mostly from a can. Canned veggies. Canned fruit. Canned soup. I was told my insurance was paying $15 for meals and I was given maybe $3 of crap from a can. Is no one watching this place? The lady in charge is a crazy person. I spoke to a male friend i saw in the hall on the way to dinner and she took me in her office and shouted at me. I'm a grown woman and I'm not there for free. They are being paid. Unacceptable. When I and others spoke up about the many terrible things that happened there, a "counselor" took us all into a room and made us raise our hands if we had medicaid. Most of us did. And he said, this is what you get with medicaid. That's embarrassing to this entire company. You are held like prisoners and have little comfort. The pictures are total lies. There are no comforters on the bed or lights on the night stand. They search your room and take anything they decide they don't want you to have like snacks or things your family brought you. They don't even tell you. You can't leave your pod as you are literally locked in. You walk in lines to and from the cafeteria with a staff member. You do go outside a couple times a day in this enclosed courtyard area. That's the only thing that got me through the day. The art room and gym are a joke. If you can even go because they change their minds often. You are also threatened that you'll be kicked out over any small thing and they put you outside in the middle of no where and call the cops on your for trespassing. That happened to a girl in my pod. The nurses are supposed to help but the are mostly just annoyed to be there. One of them was for sure high but you are too scared to say anything or they will throw you out with no ride or call. I think this is just a medicaid mining facility. They do the bare minimum to keep people alive whilst they are locked up. Do not go here if you expect to have any kind of comfortable experience. It's barely humane.”

“This facility is understaffed for nurses and bht's. There are times you may sit in the living area a not se either one for hours on end. The facility is nasty, there cleaning crew does bare minimum and are lazy. They teach classes and repeat the same curriculum and lessons over and over and put on Netflix during classes to passify clients. They do not allow you to vape but let employees vape in front of you causing you to crave something you can't have. Most bathrooms sinks leak water and the ac does not work due to the maintenance man going through your personal belongings rather than fixing broken things. Also the elevators are old and get stuck with people inside. The staff is rude and treat you like your an inmates. This is more like a jail with the locked door than a rehab facility.”
