How likely are you to recommend Pure Psychiatry of Michigan?
What patients say on Google
“I have had several issues connecting on the online platform. The time I can get through and speak to someone to assist with issue, it’s marked as a NO show, after 5 minutes. Even though I am on the phone with the office trying to connect at the time of the appointment. I have no issues with my provider, Mackenzie Goodwin, she is great and very knowledgeable and supportive, when we are able to connect. However, I was told by the office staff in Wyandotte that I had to rescheduled and it was an “no show” and that my provider was unavailable and booked for a month. I let them know that I was completely out of medication and how dangerous it can be too stop an SSRI, and that until a provider could meet with me, could they call in my script and they said it was office policy and that I would need to make another appointment, which was not until one month out. Which again, is not good practice and unsafe. When I connected with my provider she was unhappy with the service I had received. When I let the office staff know about my issues with the online platform during my next scheduled appointment time, again I was told about “Office Policy”. I also have proof and call log history and time stamp with minutes when I spoke to office staff. I was told they would have someone contact me, as the platform was not working and I received no call or voicemail for follow up. Shouldn’t their be some flexibility when dealing with mental health and online platforms, and medication? Especially going without an antidepressant for several weeks? Very disappointing.”
“Very professional and caring staff willing to work with your individual schedule. They truly care about your health and well-being. Fletcher Collins is one of the best, and highly recommend in my opinion. Not often you meet a Healthcare professional that shows you they truly care about your problems and never rush you out the door or off the phone. Always asking if you need anything else.”
“I’ve been a patient of this clinic for 2-3 years. Their system for telehealth treatment DESPERATELY needs improvement. I’ve experienced many frustrations with the way they operate that have negatively impacted my ability to get the care that I really need. Initially, their failure to resolve technical issues with their video call platform caused me miscommunication and missed appointments. After a few errors, my provider began calling me directly and we have done this method since. Pure Psychiatry does not allow you to schedule your next appointment with your provider at the end of your visit. You must make another separate call to the clinic to schedule, or *maybe* expect a call back from them at any random time throughout the following days. If you’re at work and not able to take the call, hopefully you can find time and remember to call back. As a patient with ADHD and a complex chronic health condition, it’s self explanatory why this is inconvenient and causes too much room for error. There have been a couple of times where I had forgotten to call the clinic to schedule after my telehealth, and here’s what happens if you’re soon to run out of your prescriptions or need time-sensitive solutions: You are not able to contact your provider directly in any way. When you need refills inbetween appointments, they refuse. Even if you are running out. I can understand why this might be, but there are a variety of circumstances in which this doesn’t work and can be dangerous to the patient. When I’ve needed adjustments to my meds or had questions inbetween appointments, I have on multiple occasions had to be firm and repetitive with staff just to get them to consider forwarding a message or asking a question to my provider for me. Even on occasions where my provider specifically instructed me to call the office if I needed an adjustment, they gave me a hard time and almost always insisted I make another appointment. My provider herself has been nothing but kind and generally helpful in my care. But this clinic lacks the appropriate structure for the kind of services they are trying to provide. There are so many resources out there, and endless options for technology that clinics can implement to streamline their scheduling process and make care more thorough and accessible to patients. It’s clear that Pure Psychiatry does not prioritize this, and I hope they will reconsider the importance of it, especially for something as sensitive, complex, and necessary as mental health treatment. I don’t say this with ignorance to the difficulty and pressure that psychiatry clinic staff must experience each day. But sincerely I hope my perspective on these issues is taken into consideration to improve the experience of patients *and* staff. I’d be very surprised if I’m the first person to bring up these issues. I’m sure there is frustration from multiple parties. Taking the time to improve the way the clinic operates could be beneficial to everyone involved.”
“My family (wife & 2 daughters) have been going here for almost a year now, and have had exceptional care from all the providers we have seen here. My daughters see Fletcher and he is great, very good listener & very kind, great with kids. He has worked with my daughter to get her medication right. I previously saw Harrison and he was also a good provider, he helped so much figure out which medication was best for my ADHD. now both my wife & I see Mackenzie and we love her so much. Personally, she’s the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. She really cares, and pays attention! She has helped me so much. Love it here. Thank you pure psychiatry! 🫶🏻👏🏻”
