What patients say on Google
“Our story begins with a call to Cigna for covered psychiatrists. We find one that the patient, my roommate who has migraines and other issues that make arranging these things hard on her own, thinks she would like based on specialization, and the provider's name is Jordan Shull. And she's accepting new clients! We optimistically book the evaluation. It's a few months out, but that's usually how it goes, we planned for this. She has just enough medication to bridge the gap. The day arrives, we turn the paperwork in, we do everything right.... and we're seeing some rando?? Who explains to us that the original psychiatrist isn't actually taking new patient appointments after all and didn't bother to tell us that directly. However, for some reason it would be fine if we just get the new patient eval over with with this person and then schedule with Jordan Shull for a follow up. Okay, sounds weird but we'll trust you know what you're talking about. We do exactly that, and instead of sending a normal maintenance dose of medication - a few months of refills - they send *literally exactly just enough* to make it to the next appointment with Jordan, 35 days worth. That was a whole thing with the pharmacy because of course they can't fill a 35 day prescription, who does that? And the extra 5 day prescription costs exactly as much as a 30 day one would?? We get that fixed, it's annoying but whatever. We get to the next appointment.... surprise surprise, it's been canceled the day of due to the provider being ill. Okay, understandable. At least they didn't charge us and I had the foresight to fix the medication thing in advance. We'll try again. Another few weeks rolls around, it's attempt #3 and we do everything right again. I'm not in the room with my partner this time but I confirm the $40 charge came out of my account and I think, cool, they must have finally connected! Except 10 minutes in I get an update message that my roommate is still sitting in the lobby. Weird? I call and have her ready and waiting to verify herself if needed, and we figure out what happened. Turns out, this time, the provider went on PTO for an ENTIRE MONTH and didn't give us any notice, even via automated text, that our appointment was canceled or rescheduled. But the charge is still out of my account, clear as day, which is where the fun begins. We call, and call, and call. If we're lucky, we get an operator who doesn't know what to do and says they'll send a message to the correct department who isn't picking up the phone. Usually we get voicemail boxes. Once we get someone who mumbles through an explanation of what's happening and then hangs up in the middle of one of our questions about what they were even saying because we couldn't understand them. We're assured on the first day that 1) billing will reach back out by 3pm and 2) the refund has been requested and should post in 24 hours. Obviously neither of those happen. It took us calling them back to get someone 72 hours later to confirm the refund will process while on call with him, and it took another few days for it to actually post in my bank. Meanwhile I have $34 left to work with for all expenses until the next paycheck, because $74 would have been fine and is what I thought I would have. Jordan Shull could be the best psychiatrist in the world and she still wouldn't be worth this bullshit. No psychiatrist is. Back to the mental health company drawing board, I guess. Update: we gave her one more chance this morning. Of course she no-showed again, and this time there wasn't even a note about why that happened. Of course we were charged $39.90 for this despite being told, both automatically via computer message and over the phone, that we wouldn't be charged. We asked psychplus for an appointment today with literally anyone just to make refills happen, since they refused to send refills without another appointment even though the last 4 cancelations in a row were entirely psychplus's fault. And now they have a no-refund policy under $50. *DO NOT USE PSYCHPLUS.*”
“My daughter is receiving medication management through psychplus, at least until we get a new provider. She requires a medication to stay out of a hospital setting and the insurance wants a preauthorization. The pharmacy reached out, I reached out, and the insurance company care coordinator reached out, and AN ENTIRE MONTH LATER and we are out of everything but the backup meds I got before we moved and NO RESPONSE from psych plus except to reminde me of her appointment in 2 days...BEWARE!”
“I was thoroughly impressed with the staff, who were not only helpful but also very pleasant. The room itself was cozy and tastefully decorated, with a soothing color palette. What truly stood out, however, was my experience with the psychiatrist, who demonstrated a genuine interest in my well-being and provided invaluable support.”
“I am very happy & so pleased with the doctor today! He was very professional, very knowledgeable & very kind! He made me feel very at ease & easy to talk to!”
