How likely are you to recommend Psychology Associates?
What patients say on Google
“Having been a client for just over two months, I feel compelled to share my experience with this practice. Despite encountering some negative reviews, my personal experience under the new management/ownership has been exceptional – a solid 5/5! The intake staff, Michelle and Solomon, have been incredibly helpful, while my psychiatrist, Dr. Nahar, and therapist, Rob, have shown exceptional understanding and care. I feel confident that I am on the right path with their support.”
“After several years at psychology associates, I am fed up enough to leave a review, which I almost never do. I cannot recommend this service at all, and I'm at the point where I'm going to start looking for an alternative mental health facility. One of the most frustrating things about psychology associates is how hard it is to reach the office to schedule appointments. They use a third-party answering service to take your call and relay the information to the real offices, who call you back at a later time. If you miss that call, you have to start over by calling the answering service again, so it can be an endless game of phone tag. The answering service does not know anything about your file, so they cannot help you even with simple questions or setting up appointments. It is a remarkably frustrating experience every single time I try to schedule an appointment. Second, there is such a huge turnover with the staff. I am on my third psychiatrist at psychology associates in less than two years. So far I've had no problems with the actual mental health doctors themselves except that the appointments feel extremely rushed like they are trying to get it over with quickly. It is frustrating that I have had to start over with somebody new several times in such a short period of time, and now I'm wondering if I should not get too comfortable with the current doctor in case it switches again. Third, there are very limited options if you have a preference for in-person appointments. There is only one in-person therapist and one in-person psychiatrist (who does not take my insurance). I do not prefer virtual appointments, but must I take this option anyway because psychology associates does not offer more in-person doctors. Finally, I still feel bitter about the first therapist I saw at psychology associates, who was a virtual counselor. My current therapist is very kind, but the first one was condescending to me when I shared things about my life that I was struggling with. I felt very judged and felt even worse than I did when I started therapy. The very first session she accidentally sent me confidential information about another patient, which made me nervous that my information was not safe with her. Another time, forgot to send me a zoom link for a session and then charged me when I missed the session because I did not email her to ask her for the link (I was waiting for her to send it to me because she had done so for previous sessions). That was when I decided to switch to an in-person therapist. I sincerely hope that this person is no longer working there after how she made me feel. The fact that the rest of the reviews here are overwhelmingly negative leads me to believe that my experiences are not unique. Consider psychology associates only as a last option, if you absolutely must.”
“My Wife and I have been going here for years and are happy with the level care we are receiving. Scheduling is easy and they offer telehealth services for medication management which is very convenient. They do accept our insurance and you can still get face to face in person appointments for counseling, which I prefer. I would recommend this practice.”
“The rudest medical staff I have ever encountered. No matter the field, mental health services should be personable and caring. READ the reviews. After changing doctors I feel much better and have plans and strategies to continue growing positively. NONE of these skills were talked about while I was a patient. I was treated as a lesser person, talked down upon, and left every time feeling worse about myself. After reflecting on my experience (and others), I strongly recommend never visiting Psychology Associates in Yardley. It’s also a money grab since you have to call and schedule an appointment weeks in advance, even if you are without uncontrolled medication.”
