How likely are you to recommend Psychological Services of North Georgia?
What patients say on Google
“Psychological Services of North Georgia is a wonderful practice. The staff is genuinely caring and makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome from the start. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do, and it shows in how they treat people. If you're looking for solid mental health support in the area, I'd definitely recommend giving them a call. They offer a warm, nonjudgmental environment and real professionalism - a combination that's hard to find.”
“Dr. Kamerman was very professional and helpful for both myself and my daughter. After seeing how well and thorough she was at diagnosing my 5 year old, I decided to get myself reevaluated and she made my whole life make sense. I recommend her and everyone in her office many times over. Her front office staff were super kind and accommodating too!”
“Poor communication and a waste of time. I was under the impression that my son needed an evaluation from a “psychologist” to have any form of ADHD medication given by his pediatrician. We had the appt scheduled over 2 months. My son’s first appointment was a video chat with the Dr at home after school and she said he likely has ADHD. Fast forward to part 2 of the visit where we meet in person. I drive an hour and there are no signs outside the building and I’m greeted with a person named Molly who will be testing my son. The Dr is nowhere in the building. I had to then fill out an hours worth of paperwork and forms. After they tested my son for about an hour off and on. I was then told the Dr would call me in 2 weeks with the results. This information should have been more clear. I could have saved myself a lot of time and effort. It was a Dr putting you off to her PA to tell you what you already know mama.”
“This practice and Mercedes came highly recommended by another physician of ours for a member of the family. I put all of that in the informational that we filled out to get an appointment, including some very detailed information about why we were seeking to speak with someone. Not only were we not given who we were referred to, they had us down as couples counseling, which was incorrect and not at all what was put on the form, nothing about what we put on the informational was taken into account at all. After the first appointment of feeling uncomfortable in general with the overall feel and lack of connection with this physician this family member had with the one assigned, we attempted to give the benefit of the doubt, what a mistake that was. Two cancelled/rescheduled appointments later, one of which was done the night before at 11PM and we still have only had the one intake, in which the doctor was more concerned with an item that she did previous research on and dealing with that, than she was with the issues and cry for help we went in with. When we emailed stating concerns, the only response received was that they overcharged us by $5 on the initial appointment, no further comments were made or questions were asked about why we were deciding against using this practice. They clearly do not have the time, patience, empathy, or appropriate staff to be dealing with individuals who are looking for someone to turn to, because all this office did to our family member in need was make them feel inadequate, stupid for opening up and being honest, and dumb for seeking help, and has overall made the situation worse. Look elsewhere for therapy needs and find a practice that will make you feel like you matter instead of making you feel like a number.”
