How likely are you to recommend Psychiatry of SA?
What patients say on Google
“I appreciate how much Mr. Martin Perez truly cares about his patients and wants to help. During my first two visits, he has made me feel comfortable, listened to, and supported. I also really love how easy and convenient the telehealth appointments are. He takes the time to make sure everything is going well, answers my questions, and checks in to make sure I’m comfortable with my treatment plan. So far, my experience has been very positive, and I appreciate his patience, professionalism, and genuine concern for my well-being.”
“I’ve been seeing Samantha Martinez via telamed from El Paso for months now and she’s absolutely the best. I don’t have to leave my house (and I live in the San Antonio area) and I’ve never waited more than two to three minutes for her to get on. She is the first dr to make me feel comfortable talking to asked asking questions regarding my care and medications. 10/10 would recommend her.”
“I have never been seen less than half an hour late. I'll sit in the waiting room for up to an hour 45, I've had to cancel other appointments to sit and wait for psychiatry only to receive very mediocre care. Once they even told me, after I'd been sitting there for almost an hour and a half, that it would be another 45 minutes before I'd be seen and I was forced to reschedule. They're late with prescriptions, the front desk staff never answers the phone and are incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful (like repeatedly booking my appointments as telehealth when I request in-person and acting as if it's a monumental task to change that), and they have never once called me back after leaving a voicemail. I'm not sure how anyone tolerates this kind of treatment, but I sure don't. I'll never be returning.”
“Been seeing Dr Churchman for years. Suddenly they tell me she's leaving and switch me to Dr Perez. I saw Dr Perez for the second time Monday to refill my medication. It's now Friday 2/13 (no holidays this week) and they are now telling me they are waiting for the drug screen (which Dr Perez confirmed they had received Monday) and that it takes 24-72 hours "processing" to push the prescription (as of Friday morning we're at 96+) This is unacceptable outrageous behavior. I don't know what kind of operation they're running here but you can't make people go without the medication they need in order to function and expect them to be satisfied with that. They need to send over the medication to the pharmacy immediately or explain to me why they still can't after 5 days. EDIT 2/15: They responded with a generic BS response about how "calling to resolve these matters usually clears these things up" I DID call. they said my prescription was "In process" requiring 24-72 hours. I Visited doctor Perez Monday 2/9/2026 and as of 2/15/2026 my prescription has not been filled despite meeting all requirements. it has been 120 hours, nearly double the 24-72 hours. I will update this review when my prescription gets filled. This clinic needs to work on patient service. This is abhorrent that it takes over a week to fill prescriptions. 7/6/2026 haven't been anymore issues since. Updated from 1 to 3 stars, because I've had a lot of problems that should have never happened here, in the longterm they tend to resolve. I would say my experience here has some very positive aspects, and very negative ones also, which averages to 3 stars. Dr Perez is great! Just expect up to 5 business days to have your prescription sent (not 24-72hr like they tell you), make your appointments well ahead of when your prescription is due for refill, and never send off UA lab within a week of refill time (add an extra day for holidays) update: 8/3/2026 New lady at the front desk asked me to wait over 10 minutes just to check me in. luckily I was early and had already checked in ahead of time online. She then asked if I spoke English, despite me being a 4th generation Texas Latino. She asked for my ID, asked me to verify my address (IT'S ON MY ID), and asked for my insurance (she didn't need it and my address is on the front of my ID.) She treated me like a criminal based on the color of my skin. In 3 Years the only time they needed my insurance was WHEN IT CHANGED. It's August now I've had the same insurance since January. I hope this lady's not going to be here very long. Extremely rude.”
