What patients say on Google

“The prescription for my son, which was approved on the 19th, has not yet been transmitted to the pharmacy. He and I have made multiple attempts to contact the clinic without success. Direct communication channels, including email and messaging, have not yielded a response. This situation is unacceptable, and we intend to file complaints with the appropriate agencies.”

“'Look Closer': This practice is creatively, and disturbingly, opportunistic in its design: minimal contact with psychiatric patients, and maximum nickel & diming, branded as 'convenient' and 'easy' care. Be careful: the less they see of you, the richer they get. My argument with them is not personal; you will find that the providers are quite nice, even charming. So are a lot of used car salesmen. If you are ok with paying $100 per month for the privilege of paying $29 for refill requests, and another $100 per 15-minute session, and, more importantly, if you have no serious mental healthcare needs, these guys are fine. What they are doing is legal - for now. They have exploited weaknesses in current regulations, entirely to their benefit. Someday someone will die under their care because they aren't paying attention. They are in the business of looking the other way, and it is working. Original review: 'Something Wicked This Way Comes.' Ethically speaking, this is the plastic surgery business model of mental healthcare: expensive and barely adequate, the services offered are minimal, and their prescribing is seductively reckless (thus the $500 initial evaluations and $99/month 'subscriptions' to AutoPsych, nothing more than an overly cheerful app devised to deter you from actually communicating with your doctor). You will find no healthcare here, but you will find some very prosperous psychiatrists who will surely face disciplinary action before long.”

“BEWARE THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! They stole $330 dollars for a single prescription that I never received and then cancelled my service. There is No way to contact the “Doctor” or anyone for that matter. I have already contacted the local news to investigate this “practice”. P.S. the “Good” comments are from the employees.”

“Absolutely incompetent. There is no point ever in sending an email to them because you always get an automated response which oftentimes they never do. My prescriptions were always sent in days after my appointment which is crap when I was out of them. There is no sense of urgency with their actions to respond to their patients. Any real concerns or issues are never addressed. You pay $30 for an urgent prescription request and sometimes it’s never sent in, which means you have to email them to send it. I can’t tell how many times they sent in incorrect prescriptions (wrong dose, quantity, etc) and never never do they end up sending all of them together. Sometimes I would get 1 or 2 sent when I requested all of them. There is no number to call them, so you’re at the mercy of email, and you never get a response from an actual person. Further, if you look at other people’s reviews where Psych of Austin replied to someone, you will notice that it was scripted. 2 reviews had the same exact wording and feedback and if you pay attention and this review gets a response, it will simply be an automated message, it’s quite pathetic. This practice shouldn’t be allowed to continue and should be shutdown, they are a complete waste and a money hungry scam. The will drop you for no reason and give you no options for alternative care. My new psychiatrist saw my meds and was very displeased and called it “insane” in the way Dr. Halgrimson conducts his practice and he will sign off on anything so long as he knows he’s getting paid. He’s a fraud. I will forever offer terrible reviews for this organization on any platform I encounter. Best of luck to psych of Austin and their dear patients.”
