What patients say on Google

“the waiting room is disgusting with horrible broken ripped up nasty chairs. I started coughing after being in there for an hour. There were 2 staff members who seemed good. Others were not. One staff member got me food and she brought me an AA book when I asked if they had one. She was awesome! :) Some of the staff were laughing about a patient's items being stolen from him (he was missing a bunch of stuff when he was discharged from somewhere). They said "that's what he gets for being a criminal" and laughed. Absolutely disgusting behavior from people who are supposed to care about others. The lady doing intake questions started checking off boxes on my paperwork that didn't pertain to me, like when she was asking my mental health concerns and I said "no" about things she checked "yes" for them instead. When I asked why she was checking the boxes for them, she laughed it off like it was some kind of joke instead of a major mess-up that could drastically and negatively affect my livelihood and wellbeing. She should honestly be fired since she doesn't know how to fill out paperwork and doesn't seem to understand the impact her incompetence can have on people.”

“Worst place ever!!! The Dr.is great, but everyone else has no clue how to do their job! They will let you go days off yor medication before they refill it!! I have had this problem more than once!”

“One of the worst experiences in my life, first time in a mental health building, and the room was trashed, buzzing from the camera, room was falling apart, the doctor was trying to convince me to stay longer, which was concerning to me personally, thankfully i was moved to summas health center which was a 10/10 experinence and i would highly recommend summa over portage path, PPBH has staffing issues, funding issues, building issues, patent care issues, if i could go lower than 1 star i would.”

“If you ever have a mental crisis or having mental issues,PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!!! Your best bet is to go to the hospital and get checked in through emergency. When I got there(Portage Path) and I told him about my issues they were very sympathetic, empathetic, compassionate, and kind. But, as soon as they separated me from my husband, they treated me less than. One nurse was trying to give me a medication to quote unquote "calm me down" and then tell me what it was. Then when I asked for an ombudsman, they claim they" didn't have one". They tried to send me to a psych facility in Willoughby and I live five blocks from Akron General/ Cleveland Clinic hospital. There was only one staff member that was nice in there and compassionate the psychiatrist she's manipulative. The nurses are very disrespectful and it's not a good place to go with you really are in need of help mentally. TRUST ME THEY'RE AWFUL.”
