How likely are you to recommend PORT HEALTH | Wilmington Clinic?
What patients say on Google
“Easter Seals Port Health Wilmington clinic is a comprehensive mental health clinic offering low and no cost mental health resources to patients. They offer counseling and medication treatment as well as other services. I have been a patient at Port Health and utilize zoom counseling sessions for my mental health needs. All of the staff have been professional, and I am more than happy with the results that I have seen in myself since beginning counseling at Port Health. Although I use zoom meetings, they also offer more traditional sessions in person and are more than happy to accommodate patient needs. While progress in mental health can be particularly difficult to measure quantitatively, since starting counseling at Port Health I have noticed incredible changes in my attitude, ability to cope, deal with complex emotions and situations and even when I make a mistake, I am more conscious and aware of my choices and their impact on the world and myself. Port Health has been vital at a time in my life when I was uncertain how I would get beyond the loss of my father, and immediately after losing my mother, without a major mental health breakdown. That breakdown did not occur, and I credit Port Health Wilmington for helping me see my way through one of the most challenging times in any person's life. I could not imagine my life today without the incredible staff at Port Health Wilmington. More importantly I credit them with helping me realize in real terms that my decision to abstain from medication treatments was correct, but I could not have made that decision intelligently without knowing and believing that should I have needed medication treatment that the staff at Port Health was ready to support me in any way that I would need. I have and do recommend Port Health Wilmington also known as Easter Seals Port Health Wilmington to anyone going through addiction, mental health crisis, or any other mental health related events. Thank you.”
“I have been suffering from depression for about five years and came to this wonderful place. With my counselor and Meghan's help, I am living my best life. The support staff is excellent. Highly recommend to anyone who is in and out of depression.”
“The lady at the front desk is extremely rude. I’ve called in the past as well as today expressing concern or looking for solutions for scheduling appointments or insurance issues and she was absolutely no help and had no concern for the fact that I was at risk of running out of my medication which I am dependent on. She has spoken to me each time with a tone and attitude that made me feel like nothing more than a burden to the point where I dread having to call them for anything and when I do I always have this exact experience. My therapist here is great, but as the receptionist she is the first line of contact for patients and beginning every experience with this type of interaction truly ruins the entire experience. Mental health is something so many people already struggle to seek treatment for and when you finally do and are welcomed with nothing but negativity it really makes it hard to keep coming back.”
“The worst experience so far in NC. The receptionist was rude and hateful especially about insurance. My son signed all the paperwork for them to talk to me then they wouldn’t. He was trying to get in Stepping Stone but the treatment team denied him based on past hospitalizations even though they advertise help with mental illness. Then the assessor recommended another behavioral health place. They didn’t even offer my son any of their services to assist him! What kind of mental health clinic tells you to go somewhere else. Where we are from we didn’t have options so this is all new to us and so far there hasn’t been much help.”
