What patients say on Google

“Sprang that I had to give a urine sample on me out of nowhere and even though I'd INTENTIONALLY not signed the paper to consent to it, he hadn't even looked at it and I felt pressured as I'm sure many other patients do to say yes because I felt like it would look suspicious or be rude to say no and stomp out like I probably should have. I also have sexual assault trauma and have trouble saying no or speaking up for myself, which didn't help. They didn't give me privacy and stood outside of the bathroom talking and giggling the whole time. I was deeply uncomfortable. The urine sample being mandatory or something for treatment is one thing, I would just opt out. It's that I explicitly had not consented and wasn't given a heads up beforehand and on top of that I was not given the appropriate amount of respect and privacy. I get a pit in my stomach every time I think about it. I will never be utilizing their services again.”

“There has never been a time that I haven’t felt right at home at Port Health. The girls that keep everything running smooth at the front desk are always nice and courteous. The therapist have such caring and loving ways to make you feel they understand your every word and partner with the most amazing physician Dr David Taylor to get a treatment plan that works best for you. They will help you and make sure your mental health is so very well taken care of. Without the team at Port Health I don’t know where I’d be today!”

“The staff at Port Health have always been friendly and professional. I have never had an unpleasant experience here. David Taylor has always treated me as an equal, listened to my concerns, and offered solutions as a holistic approach to care. He doesn’t just write a prescription and send me out the door. Care should be centered around the patient and what works for them. He has taken time with me, on several occasions, to get to the root of the problem and work on them from top to bottom, inside and out. He lays the options out on the table, offering education to understand my options, and how they can work for me. I truly respect his advice and him as a person and provider. Port Health offers patient centered care that goes above and beyond. Thank you for that.”
