How likely are you to recommend Pine Rest Psychiatric Hospital?
What patients say on Google
“This facility is nice, theres no rape its not co ed and the food is nice. They have one tv room in the regular living area ots always available and a seperate movie room that opens at 7am and closes at 10pm. They have a good amount of movies but if you stay long enough you could get bored of them. Everyone has respect here.”
“Stayed there for about 8 days. Only problem I really had was with other patients (they sometimes liked to throw chairs...). Living space was pretty good, education was quality, food was (usually) good, staff was friendly and helpful, activities were engaging and I learned a lot, amenities were adequate (I brought literally nothing from home and they made sure I had everything I needed), they did movies every night and someone always talked to me when I was upset. There's not a whole lot of privacy, but you can understand why. I'd just like to say though that I absolutely hated the Psychiatrist Dr. Bailey and so did everyone else in my unit. She was cold, rude, very unhelpful and uncaring and accused me, who was a serious risk to myself, of using this place as a vacation. What? I loved all of the Techs, though. Edit: came back to revise my review and remove a star because I just found out that the whole time they were lying to me about the medication I was taking and what it was for. Not cool. Ever heard of Informed Consent?”
“I am giving this facility no stars! BUT in order to post this review I have to put 1 star! The whole experience with having my daughter admitted here was chaos! The staff was unaware of rules and the schedule that is printed out for the day was never followed or changed daily depending on what staff was working. The staff was always quick to blame another staff memeber of why things were done this way or that way. They have co-ed units and they had a male patient, in the pediatric building H, Willow A unit that assulted my daughter by touching her innappropriately and kept him in the unit and he did it to other female patients as well. They are not allowed to "touch" anyone per the handbook, and at all times there are at least 3 techs and a nurse on staff in the unit that seemed to have missed all of this going on?! If your child is in need of any mental health services, I would highly recommend you choose another place to send your child if you want them to receive any kind of care or help. I had to discharge my daughter to keep her safe in a place that was supposed to be keeping her safe!? Very poor service and a horrible experience overall”
“Good care overall, the medical doctors they have are really good. They have a unique mother and baby's program. I wish some of the social workers really knew what they are doing and what they actually signed up for, as the social workers either make it a good experience or make it worse. Like Meghan in the mother and baby's program made is a horrible social worker as per a close relative of mine and I felt the same when I talked to her. The case managers are generally ok, but they are very lazy and they will make you do some of the work that they are supposed to do like find outpatient care. So keep few things in mind about the staff. But I would definitely recommend this place in case anyone needs help.”
