What patients say on Google
“I've been under psychiatric care for many years, and Dr. Schiller is by far the best I've ever had! She helped me taper off a med that I was on for years, and switched me to something else that is working much better. I feel better than I have in years. She is kind, compassionate, and guides me to what she thinks is best, but always lets me make my own decisions about my care. I'm so happy to have her as my doctor!!”
“Don't believe for a second most of the 1-star reviews you see here! Each staff member I have met with has been incredibly gentle, helpful, nonjudgemental and compassionate. Literally everyone from reception onward. I look forward to my appointments and I feel very supported by my care team. I was pretty skeptical of this clinic at first since I am not religious. I had reservations since this is a Christian-based organization. Thankfully, I have found them to be genuinely mission-driven and not evangelical. I have a lot of respect for that. They also have financial assistance programs which were a *huge* stress reliever for me when I temporarily was without health insurance. Checking in is smooth and pleasant, they do their best not to waste time but they also make plenty of time for me when I need it. I can also tell that the staff is a real team with solid systems in place: they don't miss a beat, even when I definitely do. Thanks Pine Rest!”
“I have been seeing Dr Lisa Hanna going on 6 years now. She helped me get off of some medications that were doing harm to me. She always took things slow, and tapered me off. She always explained why. I used to drive out here from Fruitport until Covid happened. From there on I have been seeing her via webcam/phone. She always tried to do me good. She got me into therapy services, but I did have to go somewhere else closer to home. My preferences for face to face therapy outweighed the cons of webcam/phone therapy. Every single time I have had an episode she was always there to help. She never had any anger towards me. She listens to me when I talk about side effects of medications. She has never forced me to take a specific medication, nor has she ever said "just deal with it." I seen some reviewers here saying the billing is shaky, and that the therapists are not up to par. Literally all the therapists they have are licensed. I never had any issues, and they even let you set up a payment plan. Pine Rest has changed my life significantly. Everyone there is nice, and courteous. I feel alot of empathy here. They really do enjoy doing what they do. Mental Health is tricky. You have to come in with an open mind. You have to be willing to put in the work. Everything that they ask you to do is only because they want you to get better. I have never been asked to do anything that made me worse, and when I did get put on a medication that didn't work out. They were always there to listen and adjust accordingly. When I tell them that something works they stick with it. I have been able to excel in most aspects of life that I used to struggle with since coming here. I definitely feel more connected with my colleagues, and family members. Thank You Pine Rest!”
“When finding a counselor be sure its the right fit as you will find someone that can truely help you through the most difficult seasons. For me silas is that counselor helping me to dig down through those layers.”
