How likely are you to recommend Piedmont Behavioral Services?
What patients say on Google
“SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!!!!! Do NOT attempt to receive psychiatric services here! Portal does not work. One person does registration and appointments and is very rude. First appointment was a DISASTER! Called to cancel follow up and was told "it is our policy that we don't provide email confirmation...why do you want it". She then hung up the phone when I asked if she could send an email to confirm appointment cancelation.”
“My 17 year-old son has severe Autism, and we found this clinic through Psychology Today. Oh how I wish we hadn’t. We were experiencing aggression and self-injurious behaviors that we needed help taming. Razul spent a total of 20 minutes on our initial consultation. We told him our son was obese, and he still prescribed things that our son’s GP was not in alignment with. The next thing I know we have three ER trips and one call to 911, because my son was more out of control than before. The doctors believed it was the Prozac and the Trazadone he was prescribed. We should have dropped this practice then, but we kept them because the telehealth aspect was convenient. We were repeatedly admonished by the doctor for other doctors removing our son from the meds he prescribed. He probably should have listened to our concerns, but didn’t. Half the time we had to remind him the dose our son was on. I started taking detailed notes of all our interactions, because it was clear that he did not care. Finally, today, we begged for an urgent appointment. We told the doctor our son was responding poorly to a medication he prescribed, and we need to discuss options including a rescue medication to get him out of the house to doctors appointments and to quickly calm a meltdown. He was rude and passive aggressive. He told us to just stop giving our son the medication. We were incredulous. Instead, switch him to the medication THE HOSPITAL prescribed that wasn’t working either AND that the insurance won’t continue to cover, which we made him aware of. We requested this appointment, because we knew something wasn’t right. What happened after we hung up? Our son had a destructive meltdown. He didn’t take us seriously, responded with cynicism and derision, and this was the result. I called the pharmacist immediately after hanging up to get their opinion, and they said there’s a risk that his symptoms will return if we abruptly stop the medication. I complained about the appointment to the staff, and we were immediately discharged. I’m still waiting on our discharge letter. I would not recommend this clinic to my worst enemy. If you’re looking for a doctor who cares and who will listen to your concerns, look elsewhere. Our special needs son deserved better care than what he received.”
“really putting the BS in Behavioral Services this was a total waste of time . the moment the video call began, i was immediately disappointed — i questioned if i was being scammed somehow, if this was even a real doctor — regardless, i immediately knew this person was not going to help me . i was fighting the urge to hang up on him the entire session . i have never in my life seen a doctor with such an unprofessional set-up . it was incredibly distracting . i understand he is from an older generation, but this is your career, maybe put some effort into it ? i don't need to see your entire body on your webcam, shoulders up is fine . & instead of awkwardly sitting in the dark with your entire messy house in the background, try sitting in front of a well-lit, blank wall i understand that everyone has an accent, but if you have a particularly heavy accent, AND you speak in a droning monotone, AND you don't pause between your words, could you at LEAST get a quality microphone ? it's uncomfortable for everyone to have to continuously ask you to repeat yourself . as a psychiatrist, you're going to have plenty of patients with auditory processing disorders (they're extremely common amongst autistic people) , you've got to enunciate or at least optimize your set-up . if you had a better camera, and didn't talk into your hand, maybe then i could at least read your lips granted, even when i could understand you, i was equally disappointed and uncomfortable, because you were cold, rude, bored, & judgmental . as a health care professional, you're responsible for ensuring your clients are comfortable enough to be vulnerable & share personal details —— yet i immediately shut down, feeling incredibly judged by this person who seemed arrogant & not even fully engaged if this man isn't prejudiced, he should audition to play the part of someone who is because he'd absolutely get the role it was our first time ever interacting, & he made a lot of assumptions about me based off nothing . his tone & demeanor were cold, accusatory & suspicious . he seemed to consider himself above me in some sort of hierarchy that only exists in his head . why would i pay someone to treat me like that ? if you don't like neurodivergent people, get a different career !! if you're going to judge people based on their appearance, get a different career the session was entirely unproductive, uncomfortable, & left me feeling so discouraged”
“It wouldn't let me submit without providing a rating. Otherwise I would have given 0 stars. I tried to schedule an appointment and made a phone call. I didn't wait for long, however, once I spoke to the person she told me to fill out a form online and hung up. Without telling me where to go/which site considering I found them through a 3rd party and was rude. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/EXPERIENCE. I literally work in my company on Customer Experience initiatives for the entire US and this is a prime example of where we would focus. You'll CONTINUE LOSING CUSTOMERS BECAUSE I'LL NEVER SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A COMPANY THAT TREATS people in that manner who are simply seeking help. Makes sense as to why you have a 1 star rating... obviously I saw this after I called or I never would have attempted. DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT RECOMMEND!”
