How likely are you to recommend Physicians Behavioral Hospital?
What patients say on Google
“My stay at Physicians was nothing short of amazing. I received adequate care and understanding. Mrs. V SHOWED SO MUCH COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING. She went above and beyond to meet all my needs. If she didn't know it rest assure she pushed forward to find the answer. In a mental health facility sometimes care is not adequately provided, but I did not have that issue. Every facility has pros and cons and rest assure there's more pros at Physicians than cons. I l ike the fact that some employees has had similar issues and understand. Mrs. V pushed me to have a better understanding and was very encouraging. I recommend Physicians Behavioral to anyone battling mental health/addiction.”
“I have a family member there. That lady Sharella is a bully. She walks around with a mega phone. Herding the residents up like cattle. They are afraid to say anything because they are scared they will be put out. Shame on the staff. Dehumanizing people that don’t know any different. And they pay rent in their housing program to be treated like beast”
“This place was absolutely terrible!! My husband was there for 10 days and they never called me once to let me know how he was doing. Nobody could answer my questions! You get transferred from one person to the next. I kept asking why they’re holding him so long and nobody could answer me. They said the provider is the only one who knows but you’re not allowed to talk to the provider! They changed his meds and then gave him the wrong dosage and thankfully he noticed it! He was without his insulin pod and sensor for 9 days. They weren’t giving his insulin properly. He was told he could discharge early and then when it came down to it nobody knew anything about it conveniently. They have roaches and rats! Holes in the sheets! I left messages for him to call me and he never received them! Patients are heavily medicated at night and then asked to get up and walk down the hallway to see the doctor! I could keep going but this should give people an idea of what kind of place their loved ones are in! DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!”
“Great Place to get help. Only bad things is Not in the greatest of locations. Fairly clean it’s in an old building and again not the greatest location so there was some less desirable 6 legged visitors. 😬 but given location and age of the building it’s to be expected. The staff there is amazing! Dionne, Iesha, Angela, Cynthia, Tyler and many more that I can’t remember everyone’s name was very kind showed tough love when needed and compassion when needed. The doctor I saw was caring friendly professional and yet she had a sense of humor which is good when dealing the emotionally, mentally, and spiritually fragile people. While this place is not Christian based the Holy Spirit did settle in the halls as myself and other patients would sing and read scriptures. (This was patient lead not staff lead) I do feel my stay there was longer than I actually needed the doctors, nurses, and counselors agreed on this idea turns out it was an insurance issue. So I looked at it for the days I was there was a reset to my restart. And shared my faith with anyone who cared to listen. The medicine and professionals can only do so much it’s really up to you to do the work they suggest. What you put in is what you will get out. Upon my departure the staff and other patients hugged me and few in tears as they didn’t want me to leave because from what one of the counselors told me I helped many patients on my side of the wing and encouraged me to go back to school and get my counseling certificate and she along with 3 other employees told me I need to write a book about my life. While yes I had a minor set back having to go here after my nervous melt down. With everything I have walked through in my life I have a good firm foundation. And they encouraged me to do something more with my life as I have love for people full of compassion and because, well truth be told I walked through many fires. It’s just I needed to reset to restart and this place gave me just that! So shout out to the best ladies and gentlemen I have ever had the honor to meet! Oh yeah one more thing the food is not like hospital food! It was so good! Really an entire family works in the kitchen and it’s good down home cooking! I gained 10lbs while there. Thanks a lot for that! 😂 In all seriousness Thank you to the staff for helping me in my hour of need!”
