What patients say on Google

“Stayed here 4 years ago when I was 16 and some of the night shift staff were lovely and helpful for the girls. However, half of the day shift staff were blatantly cruel, one of them would tell the girls who said they suffered abuse from their parents that they have to "accept that their parents actually love them" and that the girls are "refusing to see their parents perspective." I'm no therapist (and clearly neither was that tech) but I don't think something like that should be said to anyone sharing such personal and difficult information let alone impressionable teenage girls who are there for actual help and a way to move forward from their issues. I'm not leaving a review to take anyone's job from them regardless, so I won't be sharing a name. This hospital was also picked for me as a final option by another hospital since all other facilities were full, and I was moved in as a patient with no behavioral issues to be fixed, therefore my review may be skewed as someone who did not need behavioral therapy. For all I know the behavioral therapists here could be doing their job well. I still wouldn't recommend leaving your child here. I believe there's an issue with staff bullying the children and using their job being difficult as an excuse. Also, they fed us so many poptarts over a two week period I can't eat poptarts even 4 years later. We each were given 4 a day alongside disgusting and tiny meals. Not sure anyone should consume that many poptarts.”

“Lost you in a schedule the place is better than jail I think 🤔. Everyday you shown what to do and a timed experience. Just some troubled patients but some staff better than others. Some employees got more than others 🤣😂. The heat went up when I got there.”

“Do not let your kids go here if they are suicidal! My daughter has been to both locations for suicidal idealation and both times she came home worse than when she left. She saw patients abused, she saw fist fights, she was threatened (she isn't a behavioral problem at all) and overall treated like crap. This place made her want to die even more because they made her feel completely hopeless.”

“This place is horrible. Avoid going here if you have the option. The staff do their best but they're understaffed and the hospital accepts patients that they are not at all equipped to take care of. I watched one patient punch another in the face in front of the staff (I know she saw it because she said "hey") and nothing was done about it. There is nothing to do except watch TV, color/draw, and sleep. They rarely follow the schedule that's on the wall, and therapy rarely happens. And good luck trying to talk to anyone in any position about whatever you need them for. Trying to talk to your doctor about your discharge date? suddenly they're impossible to get ahold of. This place is just overall so draining and can easily put someone in a worse mental state than they went in in This place also does not share enough information about the medications they put you on. They didn't tell me one of the meds they were giving me interacted with one i was already on. They didn't give me any warnings about the side effects of anything. Do not go here”
