What patients say on Google

“The good: My under 14 child was here and my expectations were vastly exceeded. The initial check-in went smoothly and I was informed of a lot of things, and given a packet of information. My child was very hungry when he arrived, and they gave him enough food to get him feeling full. He absolutely loved the food choices. I am happy about all the vegetable and fruit choices he had. He had a private room and private shower. I observed all staff communicating with the kids like they are people and not just patients. Staff played with the kids. All of them seem to really like working with kids. I happily noticed the staff never touched the kids, even to wake them up. I observed arm taps or redirective touching for a patient who seemed particularly challenging patient, but that is it. Security was very competent, both at the front and when in the unit. They were also really nice people. Visiting and phone calls with my child were easy. I felt the medical staff were competent. They seem to understand their jobs and seem to have a desire to really help kids. The bad: There was no schooling. My child's school told me they have dealt with PPI a few times, and they know that someone comes to get the work. No one ever came to get it. My child told me he had no school instruction for 2 full weeks. Thankfully, his teachers forgave all his work. I got reported to CPS for a non-issue. I know which nurse reported it. She must assumed something illegal was going. The only was she could have assumed that is if she did not listen to the full sentence. When CPS made contact with me, the issue was resolved in less than 5 minutes. My child went outside once in 2 weeks. Why would you keep a human out of sunlight and away from seeing trees and clouds for 2 full weeks?”

“I see Amy K, who is amazing at listening and helping me work towards my goals. Morgan at the Outpatient reception is kind and seriously an incredible human being. I appreciate her more than I can say. She doesn't just treat me like another face to check in and get to the next patient. She is present. I always believe positive should be recognized if you will share the bad. My only bad is that my psych doc does not listen about meds that I do not want to be raised up on when my depression currently is situational, and the neds are making me too sleepy to function. Also, Marissa was the only staff member who was my therapist years ago, and I trusted her until she showed no interest or care toward me more than the carpet in her office. Just meaning she didn't even talk, look at me or offer any feedback. May have just been doodling on her clipboard, not even notes. Don't even know.”

“This was the best place I got hostiplized inpatient in December 2024 when I was 14 I was there for scuide thoughts having a plan to kill myself staff really nice beds comfortable and the room I was in was so nice and the showers were perfect barley any fights and the food was so good I felt comfortable there the Dr actually listened to me back then and my family they helped me learn coping skills and patients were nice good snacks I would wake up at 8:00 am everyday loved it I recommend going to this place you won't regret it great place”

“Marion Stoup, RN was incredibly unprofessional and uncooperative with requests for production of documents, called me on behalf of my doctor without authorization to comment on my file and refused to speak to me on any terms, and moved to hang up. The stonewalling and degree of unprofessionalism I experienced during my in patient stay and after discharge coupled with ignoring requests for clarification regarding my own treatment during and after discharge is highly concerning. At the beginning of the call I heard the name "Sheila" or "Shayla", the same name as the comment 2 steps down with 1 star. So far I'm seeing a pattern.”
