How likely are you to recommend Pennsylvania Counseling Services (West Shore)?
What patients say on Google
“The lack of professionalism and decorum is incredible. Your counselor can discharge you without telling you based on appointments they set without your awareness. Very nasty tactics that are unethical. Clear indication of patient neglect. For the privacy of the workers, I won’t mention the name of the therapist who did this to me. However, because old habits are hard to change, she will do this again to other patients she doesn’t like and it’s going to cost Pa Counseling money. If they keep therapists like her, they may see an incline of paying customers and end up with more 1 star reviews and possible law suites for patient neglect.”
“I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND! I have a trouble teenage daughter that’s getting serviced by this office in Mechanicsburg. The therapist Jason who calls and always demands payment a week in advance before service, it’s been a few months since my daughter has been dealing with him, and let me tell you the disrespect of demanding payment a week before service it’s beyond ridiculous! I have never been in debt or owe money to anyone, my credit score is 855. I work extremely hard and all my bills are paid, but for this company to request payment before service it’s beyond ridiculous. I am being treated at this point like a criminal and discriminated! When you go to a dr office or ER or any other place nobody demands payment before service! Except this office! 4 More months and i will be done with this office! Beyond disgusted !”
“I just moved to the area from out of state and needed to find a psychiatrist locally for medication management. I called this place because they were listed on my insurance and was told that in order to receive medication management I would need to see one of their counselors for at least 3 months. I explained to them that I have been on the same medications for years and I just needed to see someone for medication management and they refused and said I still needed to see one of their counselors for 3 months prior. I also tried to explain to them that I only have about a months worth left of my meds and that stopping them suddenly can cause very serious side effects and they seemed to have no interest in helping me at all. It seems like they just want your money and don't actually care about you.”
“I called today to schedule an appointment and I was told that someone tried to reach out to me on the 18th but they were hung up on. No recollection of hanging up on anyone and I received no voicemail. They also just flat out said they have no availability. I’m asked until when? He stated at least a month and that I would just have to keep calling back and trying for a cancellation if I wanted to get in because they do not do waitlists. For the need of therapy and going through something, this doesn’t seem like the most ideal situation for the public. Look somewhere else. The poor reviews are obviously there for a reason.”
