“I’m sharing my experience in hopes that it helps other families looking for the right support. Unfortunately, our experience with my daughter’s counselor here was not a good one. Throughout my daughter’s time in services, I often felt that the counselor fed into my daughter’s thinking instead of guiding her toward healthier perspectives or helping her build better coping skills. Rather than encouraging personal growth, responsibility, or balanced thinking, it felt like the counselor reinforced whatever my daughter said without considering the bigger picture or our family dynamics. As a parent, I want a provider who helps my child make better choices, process her emotions in a healthy way, and learn tools to move forward. Instead, I consistently felt dismissed, talked over, and pressured. When I voiced concerns or questioned decisions, I didn’t feel heard or supported. At times, I felt like the counselor used my daughter’s past struggles to push services or make me feel like I had no say in the direction of her care. The moment I made the decision to discharge and transition her to a provider who better aligns with our family’s values and needs, the lack of respect and support became even more obvious. No parent should feel guilted or intimidated for advocating for their child. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, because families need guidance, communication, and balanced support not reinforcement of unhealthy behaviors or added stress. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility.”

“This place is horrible. I haven’t touched drugs or alcohol in over two years and I still got recommended for treatment and they just dragged it on and dragged it on after 12 sessions. I could barely afford it and passing every drug test. They still were just dragging it on and dragging it on if you’re trying to get evaluated and don’t want the process to drag on for months and months do not go here I repeat do not go here. You could be the cleanest individual in the world and they’ll still recommend you treatment because they’re just a revenue shark”

“I've been treated at this location for 4 years with multiple therapists and have always had a good experience. In regards to common complaints of it being "money hungry" this is the American healthcare system at it's finest. I also have Medicaid, so I've never had an issue with insurance or payments. I know when my partner wanted to start being seen even though their insurance was accepted it was not fully covered and it was costing $70 out of pocket. However, this is a common issue overall due to the American healthcare system. Once insurance began to cover costs they received a refund check for being over charged. My therapist also helped with resources to get them paying next to nothing to get back into therapy after being discharged due to not being able to afford it. With the therapist's help and resources they can now attend again, afford it, and got help getting accepted with state insurance. The receptionists have always been nice and friendly. Every therapist I've seen I've had a good experience with. One complaint I have is the high rate of staff leaving abruptly. Twice the therapist I was seeing left the company and I had to get transferred to a new counselor. This is completely due to their personal choices. I got transferred right away too. I began seeing the psychiatrist which was easy to get an appointment with help from my therapist at the time. She got me seen and evaluated and I began to see her for med management. It was a positive and quick experience and greatly helped me mentally and physically on my journey. I hope that everyone can find the support and help they need. Whether here or at another facility. I will be continuing to go to PA counseling services.”

“Counseling was going perfectly fine until my counselor had to leave the organization abruptly (for completely valid reasons I will say, no criticism for that). The problem was didn't arrange a proper replacement. She only gave me the option of telehealth, which I told her beforehand I wasn't comfortable with or call the company in a month and see if they have an opening (my phone has bad reception, so not a realistic option). She also suggested I was doing so well, I could be discharged, which is ludicrous and, quite frankly, made me question her qualifications and feel like I had been pouring my problems out to someone who wasn't actually listening to a word I said. Very disappointing end to a course I treatment I had been very hopeful about.”
