What patients say on Google

“That place is HORRIBLE. They sit there at the desk while the phones are ringing laughing with each other. I stood there one day in front of the desk and called the phones and watched the girls just sit there laughing or do nothing. I message them about important stuff and dont hear back from them for more then a week. Ask them important questions about my life..and nothing. Your office is horrible. Cant believe I stayed with Penn State as long as I did as pissed off and irritated u made me. U caused seizures Penn state. U stress people out. Then dont want to see them for 6 months. Ur office is a special kind of special.”

“I see a lot of people have had some horrible experiences based off of the reviews I’ve seen on here. I can’t speak for every worker there… 5 stars to the nurse and the doctor I had today, Dr Grogan. I was 20 minutes late due to driving 3.5 hours with all of this awful snow & there was a 3 car pileup about 10 minutes from the clinic. They still saw me and ran an EMG. I’ve had some significant trauma that has caused some intense PTSD and anxiety when it comes to men in general now, but Dr Grogan handled me with care, explained things very carefully, had a great conversation with me, was very professional and he was personable. I knew I was in good hands. I really appreciated the fact that he would explain what he was going to do next with the EMG before moving forward to doing what he needed to do; he made me feel safe. My mom has ALS and she loves having Dr Grogan as her doctor, as well! We had a great experience today.”

“Everytime I call a nurse with a problem they never call back. I called cause I wasnt sure if I was taking a med right or not, they never called me back and as a result I ended up in the hospital. I now have a new dr. There who I wont complain about but they tell me hes in once a week. I just called cause he needs to approve my meds with insurance co. And I need to see if he will refill another med. This time if no one responds immediately my husband and I have decided to sue!”

“I had a poor experience at Hershey Neurology. To start, my home facility (VA) did not sent my records for the doctor to have prior to the appointment. That being said, rather than pause the appointment or say we will reconvene when he has them, instead Dr. Seemiller called me “psychosomatic” and doubted the existence of conditions I had already been diagnosed with, by other doctors. He was arguing with me over this. These conditions were in my records, and I am being actively treated for them. Things I directly stated were important to me the doctor said didn’t matter, and overall as a patient I felt like nothing I said mattered and was somehow used against me-like caring or mentioning I have other health conditions for clarity was a negative thing. He also stated that my physical and occupational therapists, who had concerns, were misguided. I did not feel cared for, and if anything left feeling like medical care is threatening. Lastly for context, I went on to a different neurologist at UPenn, where it was determined I was not psychosomatic.”
