What patients say on Google
“They’re very dismissive. Seem to not care, they pay very good attention to the time you are in there and if you go over that time they stop you and end the session. I’ve been going here for years and I’ve received nothing but bandaid medication. One of the male therapists got inappropriate with me and it took months for them to get a woman therapist. Then after having car trouble and having to reschedule 2 appointments they no show me. This place is the biggest joke, i don’t know how they have stayed open this long.”
“Some years back this place had a different psychiatrist. You could feel his empathy. I don’t know where he is these days, but this office surely needs him back. But I end up being referred back to Dr Stonecypher every now and then. And I make the mistake of giving her the benefit of the doubt every time. And then then I leave her office more suicidal than before going in. She doesn’t even write notes about your case in her computer honestly. She takes what you say out of context to suit her own agenda. If you are a treatment resistant case, I’d highly warn staying far away from her. She has no business working in healthcare There are better, smarter, far more empathetic, sympathetic psychiatrists out there. If the higher ups at Penninsula read this, please take these words to heart.”
“Terrible place to take a child for treatment. The only consistency they have is how often they rotate through staff. In one year we saw 4 different providers because everyone kept quitting. How are you suppose to provide proper care when you see a different person each time and they don’t know your child. Don’t waste your time coming here.”
“Went to this place for 3-4 years. First doctor left, came back, retired, then some random from another office fills in and seems a bit careless, then a new doctor now. I missed two appointments and that’s my bad. My appointments were 4 months apart and with my work I’m unsure of when I get my break each day but I try my best to answer the phone if I can. Well I wasn’t able to. So they wanted me to come back in for a 4 hour intake appointment before they gave me my refill. The nearest appointment was a month out! They were going to let me go cold turkey on my medication for a month! I’m not a doctor but anyone with common sense knows that is not healthy and that is borderline malpractice. I felt their handling of that situation was uncalled for. I accepted responsibility of the missed appointments but their actions of being okay with me going cold on my medicine was not the way to handle it. They should’ve offered a limited supply to get me to that appointment and made it clear if it was missed then no more. I would’ve been okay with that but they were willing to put a patient at risk of withdrawal symptoms. The world today promotes taking care of your mental health but with this place they treat you like dollar signs! Needless to say I switched to a new doctor and got my medicine 3 month supply switched the same day they denied me!”
