How likely are you to recommend Penfield Psychiatry?
What patients say on Google
“Horrible. Communication is non-existent. I can’t reach my Dr, the office never answers the phone. I’ve been trying to get my medication for 3 MONTHS! Don’t think this has been passive waiting, I’ve been calling the office, my insurance, and only just recently got an answer that the fax number used is incorrect. Now I’ve been calling the office for a week trying to let them know, and the furthest I get is a call back from an outsourcing center that does not help whatsoever. This place is a joke and does not care about its patients whatsoever.”
“I am writing this to warn others, specifically neurodivergent individuals, about my experience with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Tajma Saric. Despite having a long-standing therapy history and a solid support network, I was treated with a level of dismissiveness and stigma that left me feeling "untreatable" rather than supported. Significant Ethical and Professional Concerns: Lack of Boundaries: During our virtual session, the provider disclosed her own recent ADHD diagnosis and her child’s Autism diagnosis. Most unprofessionally, she took her afternoon ADHD medication on camera during our appointment. Inappropriate Personal Disclosure: She spent time discussing the fact that she attended the same high school as me, which felt entirely irrelevant to my clinical care. Gatekeeping and Stigma: After only an hour, she told me she had too many "complex" cases and that a "team" would decide if I was appropriate for treatment after yet another assessment. Inconsistency in Care: My partner went to this same practice with an identical list of complex needs and was treated with respect, whereas I was met with retraumatizing stigma. When I tried to return to the office weeks later to address these issues, I was again made to feel like a burden and left within five minutes in tears. I have attempted to speak with the Practice Manager three times and have received zero follow-up. If you are looking for a provider who maintains professional boundaries and understands neurodivergent experiences without judgment, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Since the practice manager has ignored my calls I will be filing a formal complaint to the New York State Office of the Professions. They investigate "professional misconduct," which includes practicing beyond the scope of a license or failing to meet expected standards of conduct”
“I would not recommend this place to anyone. The front desk staff are all incompetent and unprofessional. Every time I've had an interaction with the receptionists on the phone it has been unprofessional. While my providers are great the overall atmosphere of the place is not. I won't get into more details but the level of care once a provider was dropped from the office was HORRIFIC. This is supposed to be a place that values their patient's mental health and I can tell you they don't care at all about you as a patient.”
“When I was a patient they could not be bothered to get my phone number right for reminder calls but for some reason I get reminder calls for a different patient utilizing her full name, appointment time, and clinician. This is a HIPAA violation, especially since I have told them repeatedly I AM NOT THIS PERSON. I'll be reporting them.”
