“I have a teen who's been seeing a new "*Psychiatrist" here for a few months. So far it has not been good at all! My teen must be medicated due to her severe panic attacks/ depression and ADHD. We've tried multiple medications with most of them not working. My teen had a gene site test done to see what medication would work best for her. After weeks of not hearing anything about her results it was finally time for her appointment to renew her prescriptions. Dr. Kristie Oneal didn't have the results, and didn't even remember that my child had the test done and had to go searching for the results. She skimmed through them very quickly and told us that very few medications would work for her and that the one she was currently taking is on the list for her NOT TO TAKE. She told me that my child can stop taking said medication (which I felt was actually working) and that she was going to prescribe a new medication. The appointment ended and the new prescription was sent. Come to find out days later that the new medication can't be filled due to it not being FDA approved for my childs age group . The pharmacy and insurance both sent over multiple prior authorization requests and an alternative med request with no response. I've called for 3 weeks now trying to get in contact with the dr or someone that can either get the prescription changed or PA sent through, and all I get is dismissed and ignored. My child went through withdrawals from the medication that she was told to stop taking, which after speaking with a pharmacist was told that stopping that medication abruptly was not recommended. That medication should have been tapered off! I've called the insurance, the Dr office, the case worker several times for the last 3 weeks trying to get my child meds sorted and PRC has done nothing to resolve our issue. My child has been unmedicated for 3 weeks and having panic attacks almost every day because of it. The lack of concern for a severely mentally ill individual who is A MINOR, is unexcusable! I am so disappointed in this place and no longer trust the staff and medical personnel for how they have neglected my child's treatment. As of this moment I'm on hold with another person from PRC who again is just taking messages with no resolution. This shouldn't be how people with mental illness should be cared for. I shouldn't have to fight this hard just to get medication that was PRESCRIBED specifically for my child! They are already struggling and keeping them from getting their medication is insane!”
“I need to vent. I’ve been struggling with severe ADHD, anxiety, and depression while caring for 4 kids including a 5 month old, and my doctor dismissed my struggles and discussed my medical information with my baby father without my permission. This caused him to come after me with questions, using what she told him against me. I’m unmedicated and in crisis, and the one person who was supposed to help me isn’t listening, (Kristy O.). I’ve been struggling with ADHD, anxiety and depression for years and have expressed to her multiple times what medications I was on and what works. She has yet to put my on my adhd meds (adder…) nor has she put me on the correct anxiety meds, (parox…), which is causing my depression to become unbearable as it has affected me for yours when I’m not on my meds by not allowing me to be an independent functioning adult. I’m filing a formal complaint. If you’ve ever felt dismissed by a doctor when you needed help the most you’re not alone. You deserve better. I deserve better.”
“My son had his first appointment with the doctor this August 2025. Kristy Oneill was very attentive to his needs and prescribed medication that was available in the pharmacy the same day. This was a huge relief because my son was in high anxiety, his hands were trembling, and he had not slept the whole night before the visit. Thanks to her help, his condition stabilized. We will continue therapy and work on finding the right treatment that will help him adapt socially and eventually find a job, so he can feel meaningful and confident in himself. Thank you ❤️❤️🩹”
“I would not recommend peace river unless you absolutely have I use to go there for everything including medical, therapy and psychiatric but this has gone hill you have to wait to see a doctor a for 2 to 3 months you call their nurse line but they never call back when you do finally see a doctor or ARNP they don’t listen they just say well here prescribe another medication they don’t care no morethey try to get you out the door asap because they have other clients waiting and the new medical doctor they hired to replace the doctor before does not listen he thinks he knows everything I called my insurance and had to get a primary new care doctor and I also found found my therapist and psychiatrist elsewhere I am very happy and I am so glad I am longer associated with Peace River this my opinion and experience I’ve had you might have a different opinion and that’s fine”
