What patients say on Google

“FRONT DESK IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE BIG LADY SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING THE FRONT OFFICE. SORRY BUT IM NOT SORRY! Dear Ms. Davis, I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding how my daughter’s appointment on August 31 at 2:30 PM was handled. My daughter was originally scheduled for September 21. Last Thursday, I was contacted and offered an earlier appointment for August 31 at 2:30 PM. I was specifically instructed to arrive 15 minutes early as a new patient and complete everything before the appointment. I left work early, arranged a Lyft, and arrived at approximately 2:02 PM. My mother brought my daughter and arrived around 2:27 PM. Due to parking, we entered the office at approximately 2:35 PM. What happened afterward was unacceptable. I had already provided the insurance information as requested. I was previously told that the receptionist would write down the insurance information. Once I returned with my daughter, however, I was suddenly told that she needed her physical insurance card and ID and could not be seen without them. I worked in the medical field, specifically front-desk operations, for over 12 years. I understand registration and insurance procedures very well. If there was an issue verifying coverage, there were other reasonable options available, including having me complete a financial responsibility/billing form agreeing to pay any applicable charges. Turning a patient away over this issue—particularly after I had already provided the requested information—was not the only option. What concerns me even more is that my daughter is not seeking routine care. She is experiencing significant behavioral and mental-health changes, including increased stimming, depression, excessive sleeping and eating, lack of motivation, difficulty bathing, and some days refusing to leave her room. I am seeking an evaluation because I have serious concerns about possible Autism Spectrum Disorder and her overall mental health. When someone is seeking behavioral-health care, you cannot know what a patient or family may be dealing with when they walk through your doors. My daughter could potentially have been at a point of being severely depressed or even on the borderline of harming herself, and your office would have turned her away because I did not have a physical insurance card in my hand. That should concern you. I find it extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate that after I rearranged my work schedule, secured transportation, accepted an appointment offered to me at the last minute, followed the instructions provided by your office, and physically brought my daughter there, we were simply turned away. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for reasonable, compassionate, and professional treatment of a patient seeking mental-health care. I would like an explanation of why my daughter could not have been seen under these circumstances and why the insurance requirement was not communicated to me before the appointment. I would also like to know whether Peace of Mind Therapeutic Solutions intends to provide my daughter with an appointment sooner than September 21 given the urgency of the concerns I have communicated. I sincerely hope this situation is reviewed because this is not how a behavioral-health office should treat someone who is actively trying to get their daughter help. Regards, The worst experience ever and I worked in BH for 3yrs and I never had this experience.”

“A wonderful place the people there are very respectful and help you get everything that you need. You must be honest and open up to them so they can make sure they give you the proper medicines or advice that you need to maintain a proper life. I thank God for my advisor Who works there she is truly a blessing her and the staff. We’re still working on certain things To make sure that all my needs are taken care of I do recommend To go see Them so they can help you with your needs and wants because sometimes the proper advice is what you need instead of something that you want With great role models like these individual that works at this company each one of them are a great addition and helps in many ways I would just like to say thank y’all for helping me getting in my life together please make sure you be completely honest with them so they can help you properly if the medicine does not work for you let them know they are great at what they do”

“GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE! this place is Horrible!! They owe us money after over charging us for 2 sessions and then charged me for a 3 session I didn’t even get to have. They have not refunded me for over 2 months and have an excuse every time I call, and I have been calling. I would rate this place zero stars if I could, no one should go here. On to the actual therapy and psychiatrist, awful as well. at least that was my impression as both of them quit while they were mid treatment and the office offered no alternatives just straight up canceled. And the wait time! I waited almost an hour while my psychiatrist was “in another appointment” turns out she was just sitting back there. over an hour I waited!!! And that’s not the only time they were late to appointments, literally every single appointment I had to wait far past my appointment time to be seen. Only one of the front desk girls are even a little bit nice the others seem like they would rather be anywhere else and I don’t blame them because this place sucks. I don’t ever ever write reviews for places because I just don’t think it’s worth it but for this place I’ll make an exception because they owe me like $400! Like I said go ANYWHERE else if you need help.”

“I was seen by Shannon Grant and working with her is great and has helped me improve certain aspects of my life but she missed my most recent virtual appointment and a previous virtual appointment was cut short so I’d recommend in person appointments for more consistent meetings vs virtual. Overall no bad experiences but I wish for more communication and consistency with patients like myself regarding missing appointments especially while seeking personally important diagnoses.”
