“*I am writing this review now as someone who has healed significantly since the experience. At the time I was in one of the darkest periods of my life and my perspective comes from both the immediate impact and the clarity I have gained months later. * I was assigned to this psychiatrist through Geisinger video chat only a month after losing a 10 week pregnancy. It was an emergency appointment because I was about to run out of my medication, and I hadn’t been seen by my actual psychiatrist in over a year, even though prescriptions were still being renewed. Once Geisinger realized this they stopped the automatic refills and pushed me to connect with someone new immediately since my former psychiatrist was unavailable. I came into this visit in deep grief, severely depressed and anxious. From the very start, the psychiatrist’s approach was cold and invasive. He immediately asked “why are you on medicine what is it for?” and wanted to know my diagnosis, despite all of this being clearly documented in my chart. He also must have read the chart because he said “ are you just upset from the miscarriage?” So he has the knowledge to read that but had to ask me what my diagnosis was? His mannerisms and tone were off putting and made me uncomfortable overall. I avoided eye contact on camera trying to hold back tears. Instead of showing any sensitivity, he said, “you seem uninterested in having this conversation.” When I finally said, “you seem very mean,” his response was a sarcastic “let’s start over again, I apologize” in a tone that felt mocking rather than genuine. I ended the call at that point. For someone in crisis that type of interaction is dangerous. If I had been in a more fragile state his dismissive and snarky approach could have easily pushed me toward making a decision I would regret. In my opinion he should not be practicing psychiatry at all especially not with patients in crisis.”
“This is the worst "psychiatrist" I've ever experienced. I have four years of sobriety and 21 broken Bones in his body which eventually led me to a methadone program. I was prescribed clonazepam and Suboxone at some point in time because I fell victim to the same stuff that the other people did in the opioid epidemic. Anyways, I got off the Suboxone and the clonazepam. I had a serious accident and had to get back on the methadone rather than something with a short half-life. After 3 years of sobriety and getting my life back together I set up paying $8,000 for CDL School. I was ministering for Faith Assembly running the well Cafe. I year-long relationship with a doctor that I got just for the taper process because once you're on anxiety medication it changes the gaba receptors of the mind forever and if you have to go through another withdrawal process with opioids it's like you feel like you're running for your life. On a surviving kid for cash which led to 9 years of incarceration of My Life 3 years of those as juvenile. Five placements in mental hospitals and years and years and years of misdiagnosis and DOZENS of meds until I found one that worked. Clonazepam. At some point in time when I got off the Suboxone I gave that up but I gave it up willingly nobody took it from me because I wanted to try and live without it. My anxiety returned in this process of my life I was referred to Mr, tesmer. I do not play games today because I understand that it's a doctor's job to serve me I'm not going to pay somebody $250 that isn't going to help me in a way that allows me to partake in my own treatment. Why would I let a psychiatrist prescribe me another medicine that has half the history and 1/4 the clinical trials of meds like these that are being successfully used and have been successfully used for hundreds of years either in their form or in derivative. Are session started and I told him exactly what it was that I needed and that I wanted my medicine back that I gave up because I was in a process in my life where I was training to become a CDL driver and I was at school and I could not handle the anxiety. His professional opinion was is that I was depressed and that he was going to put me on depressant medicine which was going to mess up another area of my brain that potentially big pharma had not destroyed already. He refused to give me back the medicine that works for me and that had been tried and tested that I had bled and almost died to get. Labeled me a drug seeker. Dismissed me. Here is the fax from my clinic to the new doctor to stop this discrimination that geisinger is paying their doctors to do. Here is the evidence. With all due respect I hope they penalize you to a point where you can never do this to somebody else ever again because you're trusted you're supposed to be a trusted individual to be able to help your patients and you're supposed to be able to look past a prescription on an epic chart and be able to make a sound can just decision by preponderance of the evidence with your patient partaking in their treatment. Please do better in the future for the next person because you could have potentially sent the next person off to relapse and destroy their life I have been at 60 mg of methadone that point down from 100 and my anxiety was through the roof and he didn't care he made me go through school and continue to do my ministering and everything else. All he cared about was pushing another kind of drug onto me. Probably one that the pharmaceutical companies are paying him to push. You guys should watch painkillers one day. That's what happened to me. Now because of doctors like him it's almost impossible for me to get medicine. But here you have it here is the proof Rock solid. Methadone patient. NOT A JUNKY OR A DRUG SEEKER.”
“Best psychiatrist I ever had. He told me he really cared about making my moods stable and he did accomplish that. I ended up referring him to a relative of mine that’s how much I trust his decision making skills.”
