What patients say on Google

“Horrible customer service. I called seeking help for my ex-girlfriend’s sister, who lives in Hazleton, PA and suffers from a gambling addiction. My ex-girlfriend lives overseas and reached out to me to help find resources for her sister. She is a native Spanish speaker and does not speak English well, so I was simply trying to be pointed in the right direction to get her assistance. The response I received was, “What kind of information are you looking for?” I replied, “I’m not sure—that’s why I called. I don’t know the process or whether you offer services for gambling addiction. She needs help and does not speak English.” This somehow seemed confusing to the intake person, who kept trying to clarify whether the person needing help lived overseas. I explained multiple times that my ex-girlfriend lives overseas, but her sister—the one who needs help—lives in Hazleton. I also explained that I live in Florida and was calling to gather information on her behalf. The final response I received was, “Just have her call us.” If it were that simple for her to call on her own, there would have been no reason for me to reach out for help in the first place. I was disappointed by the lack of guidance, empathy, and willingness to assist someone trying to help a vulnerable person access treatment.”

“I’ve had a few seperate counselors here and they were all very caring and understanding. I’ve never felt judged or rushed. I can only say great things about this place !”
