“I am prefacing this review with my love for every other aspect of Parkview. I will only go to Parkview for any other health issues, and prefer providers with Parkview. They literally saved my life after a freak car wreck. However. When I was 13, I was inpatient for depression and suicidal ideation. As a first ever medication, they gave me Zyprexa, a heavy antipsychotic, before they even knew all of the side effects. I ended up having one before they knew it was a side effect, and had a lymph node by my ear surgically removed because nobody even knew that it was from that medication. Last week, I saw a psych with them to continue my Vyvanse prescription. Instead of doing that, this psych, Dorothy Burke, spent my entire visit challenging and invalidating a diagnosis by a legal, nonbiased neurology specialist that works specifically with.post-TBI cases like mine. She literally told me that I could not have ADHD because I did too well in school. That view was dropped by all adequate healthcare professionals like, at least ten years ago. Oh my GOD. She told me to STOP my Vyvanse, which I have been on for iver 6 months and it has done nothing but improve my life. I sleep better. I get more accomplished in my day. But because I excelled academically, because we moved a lot and I hyperfixated on a constant, I couldnt possibly have ADHD. Ignoring the fact that both of my older siblings have been diagnosed and almost every single cousin of mine has been diagnosed. This facility is a joke.”

“Not wheelchair accessible in all areas, did not care about sexual assault on campus. Kept me in dirty clothes for over a week even when asked for clean replacements, delayed care, just watched me seize, told me using coping mechanisms don't matter, had me walk on a broken toe, told me to stay in my room because the wheelchair they provided for the broken toe I suffered on campus was too big for the hallway, blocked my escape from my assailant, chose to omit information from the judge and paperwork, chose to delay treatment for my broken toe when treatment was available, did not allow me to be medicated before being assessed, was not given free access to my plan, the doctor that signed the order to the judge couldn't even explain to me what the statement said, could not freely communicate with social workers, and the psychiatrists continually stated that using coping mechanisms to calm oneself down not matter. They consistently told me just having a thought was all that mattered, and that successfully preventing myself from acting on the thought using approved coping mechanisms does not matter they also waited for hours to administer an ekg after I reported chest pain. One nurse in particular took me being sensually assaulted so casually that he literally and not figuratively, rolled his eyes when, I reported it.”

“This place is the biggest joke please do yourself a favor and pay attention to the reviews my son has been in here in numerous times since 2013 he has severe mental illness and I can promise you they have never ever ever ever helped him not once do yourself a favor and do not put your family member through this. They left him in sheets for 3 days with spaghetti all over it to top it all off the man that swears up and down that my son was handed his envelope with cash of $65 and his identification but my son never received that it was taken from him at Pbh!! I hope the person that took it the man I spoke with on the phone I hope you can live with yourself everyday from taking for mentally ill people”

“They stole me from my family for 7 months. Dr. Pravesh Restagi. I can't forget that name although I have learned to forgive him. We were just children, and he would take 15 seconds with each of us in his office, cutting off a sentence after checking mandatory boxes to keep us there longer. 2,106 dollars a day is what they get to keep the rooms full. They don't let you out till there's more incoming with the right insurance. They'll help your parents fill out forms for free government insurance. That means you never leave. I cry about it still. I'm 39 now, was 14 then. Spent Christmas and my birthday in there.”
