“I went for a behavioral health visit and was told to hop on the scale. I was not asked if I wanted to or told I could refuse. I do not understand how being weighed and then that weight being announced is conducive to anyone's mental health especially if they do not wish to get on the scale. Having a patient do that as the first part of mental health visit is hardly therapeutic. If we are taking biometrics that relate to mental health I feel my blood pressure and heart rate would have been more useful as both are raised when someone is under stress versus a number on a scale relating to weight. I urge Owensboro health to reconsider this part of their patient intake.”
