“I just finished my first week of treatment. I've been dealing with severe depression for almost 20 years. I've taken every medication, as well as a ton of "depression cocktails...." We all get the same disclaimer, you won't know if you actually feel any better. I also have a seizure disorder, so that also complicates my treatment. With that being said, Clarissa (super woman) and Dr. Lane have given me hope, & I'll be honest... I felt completely hopeless. Walking in is like walking into a friend's home. The vibe is extremely laid back, & by the time you make your first appointment, Clarissa has done all of the insurance work & behind the scenes, so the office is ready for you. How often does that happen anymore?? Clarissa is awesome!! Then you officially meet Dr. Lane, & immediately feel comfortable. He's a very down to Earth psychiatrist, which is like finding a unicorn in the field of Mental Health. While Dr. Lane is very cool, he also gives you real, honest advice prior to starting. He lets you know that Spravato isn't a cure. Going for Spravato treatment is only a portion of the battle. You need to be your own advocate, collaborate with all of your other providers, utilize therapy, exercise, DO THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY. Alright, to wrap up this review with a beautiful bow, Optimed, Dr. Lane & Clarissa's calming, light hearted, great sense of humor, & professionalism are exactly what so many patients need. I have been to at least 15-20 doctors & offices (not only psychiatry), & I've never arrived with a smile or left with a smile.
