The staff here are some of the most compassionate and loving people I have the blessing of knowing, and they treat you with the utmost respect and love. “I am writing this review because Open Arms Recovery Center quite literally helped me save my own life. I have been connected to them off and on for three years now, but this past year and a half has completely changed everything for me. ​When I first walked through their doors three years ago, I was heavy into my addiction and pregnant with my oldest daughter. Looking back, I can admit that I just wasn’t ready yet. I was living in total denial about my situation, my addiction, and pretty much everything else in my life. Even though Open Arms was there for me, I couldn’t accept the help because I wasn't ready to face reality. ​Everything changed when I came back to Open Arms. This time, I was pregnant with my youngest daughter, and something shifted inside me. I was completely all in. I knew deep down that I refused to lose another baby to the system, and I made the solid choice to get help and commit to it 100%. ​Open Arms met me exactly where I was with open arms and zero judgment. My counselor, Christina, has been an absolute godsend throughout this entire process. I have never felt so heard by anyone. When I talk, she truly listens, and she has created a safe, compassionate space where I can actually vent about the everyday stresses and problems in my life without fear of being judged. Christina has helped me navigate and overcome so many obstacles that seemed completely impossible at the time. Honestly, I don't even know where I would be today without her guidance and support. ​Thanks to this program and my wonderful counselor, I am currently almost 18 months sober. Since the very first time I ever attempted to get clean, this is the furthest I have ever made it. ​My time here has been so deeply transformative that it has inspired my entire career path. I am so excited to share that I am officially signed up to take the Certified Recovery Specialist course this summer! “2021 was the year I entered treatment at Open Arms Recovery Center. Women’s groups, one on one counseling sessions, and building bonds that would instill something in me I never even knew was possible..a DESIRE to be better and begin to take accountability. I didn’t get clean until almost 3 years later, but if it wasn’t for the women there and shared experiences, I probably wouldn’t be here today. I will be FOREVER grateful to Christina Gordon. That woman is the definition of a ride or die. She will believe in you until you can believe in yourself, she will push you and cheer you on in ways unimaginable, she will FIGHT for your life when you’re still trying to end it. Dedication, compassion, understanding, ZERO judgement, and an eye for seeing the beauty in all other people until they finally see for themselves.
