What patients say on Google
“Honestly, this place has its up and downs as do all. I was released today from the adult unit at this facility and there are some good things and some bad. Some staff are amazing, and some are absolutely ridiculous. There are staff in this facility that are extremely petty, argumentative, and just nasty. But, there are also some amazing staff members there. I am not great with names, but the ones I can remember that I absolutely loved are James, Mikayla, John, Darelyn, Heidi, Alicia, Maddi, Trevor, Danielle and Susan. I’m saying their names because they deserve recognition. We didn’t always see eye to eye but we are all human and they work hard. There are more that do deserve recognition as well but unfortunately I cannot recall their names. Matt was my therapist. All of the therapists are amazing and the doctors are honest and to the point and do well understanding patients needs. They do not sugar coat things which I respect. They do not put up with bullshit either. Ultimately if you or your loved ones go here and do what they are supposed to do and not be rude and disrespectful they will be fine and do well.”
“This facility lacks medical efficacy, as well as the ability to properly communicate. Unfortunately I chose the wrong facility to assist with my mother's needs. When she was admitted to this facility they were informed verbally as well as though text and email that certain medication would worsen her condition because of her diagnosis. Those notes were clesrly disregaded and medications were given that essentially led to her death. If you have an elderly parent with Louis body dementia, this facility is unable to facilitate proper treatment.”
“This is the last place you want to go to once you become an outpatient. They don’t understand regular life and that people have jobs, babies, etc. Was told to attend group 4 time a week, but what they don’t realize is not everyone can just put their life and job away for them. Asked a simple request to fill the medication THEY PUT ME ON and was told I don’t attend group enough. Place is a joke to mental health. DONT RECOMMEND!”
“Don't bring or let you loved ones attend this place. A facility shipped my mom to this location. Better yet none of these locations for Oceans are to be recommend, for one when my mom was shipped to the first one they couldn't find my mother no where. If it wasn't for the nice information worker to guide me and my family in the direction of the hospital she was in, we would have never found her and she would still be clinging to her life or up above. But as far as this location goes, same experience. They didn't call to update us with anything. Like her progress, updates, improvement, nothing. The day she was released, which was the day before thanksgiving they called, mind you while I was at work, saying they were dropping her off and that was it. When it even came to the transportation, they didn't even know where to drop her, if she needed a wheelchair, walker, etc... mind you she is still going through more of her disorder and nothing got done. The lack of professionalism is horrible from the nurses, nurse practitioner, and the social worker. I never seen or heard of a place with bi work communication or stories lining up. If you have a loved one needing any mental help, I HIGHLY recommend you look into a location that sincerely cares about your loved ones and will give you the NECESSARY HELP you need for your loved ones.”
