“I have seen Laura Provancal for a couple years and don’t know what I’d do without her. She is incredibly attentive, kind and thoughtful. I came in for EMDR and anxiety - one of my best decisions. She’s helped me take control of my life and learn skills to keep me regulated. She’s great at explaining the science behind the mitigation strategies she shares, how to better understand emotions, behaviors, etc. She’s the therapist I needed as a child. I understand other practitioners at this office also offer EMDR. Highly recommend EMDR as a therapy if recommended by your practitioner - it’s a wild ride but SO worth it. “I have two children who have been receiving care from Abi Mitchell since the COVID outbreak. Both started in jr. high and have continued care through high school. One was a highly anxious and sensitive over achiever, the other had debilitating depression. Both continue to be under her care and have become well adjusted young adults. When I approached her requesting care for my second child she had very candid feedback regarding possible conflict of interest, and ensured both children were comfortable with the situation before working with both of them. This was the first demonstration of the professionalism and concern she has shown throughout the years of care. Mental health is a team effort and while we mutually desire to respect the privacy and sanctity of the counselor patient relationship, Ms. Abi has done a great job of providing resources and guidance to help me understand and better relate to my children without trespassing on my childrens’ safe space. Prior to choosing Ms. Abi, we worked with a number of therapy options. She is by far the best I have encountered . My children have grown into what I truly believe is their best selves and it is in no small part due to the counseling they receive. Finally, the office writ large has been super responsive and flexible. I have never had any issues with insurance or billing as a BCBS customer.”
