How likely are you to recommend Oakwood Clinical Associates?
What patients say on Google
“If you want to be bounced around from therapist to therapist this is your place to go, or more like intern to intern. Cuz they can't seem to keep people around I guess. I've seen 3 different people now in less than a year and I was with the same person prior for like 4 years til she switched her therapy styles. 10/10 do not recommend going here. Oh, and they never answer their phones and take forever to get back to you, or if they do they are not helpful at all. I loved this place until the last year and half where it has gone downhill. Find somewhere that actually cares about your mental health.”
“My therapist was fantastic and helped me quite a bit. Unfortunately she only took Medicaid so I had to switch once I started Medicare. My current therapist is great, mind you. I just had seen the previous therapist for years and that built a lot of trust that is hard to come by. I feel like the office staff is really on top of things and always called me when there was an issue. Good place in my opinion.”
“I came here for a program required by state, was told no group wait but then they told me there was a long group wait and I could only do the 1:1 sessions meanwhile. This postponed the program for the state. I asked for a specialized 1:1 given my diagnosis and was told there was someone, they scheduled before checking with my insurance and got my hopes up.a few months later my phone was out of commission and my wife called to inquire for an appointment. She was under the impression they would call me to confirm but they did not. I ended up not knowing I had an appointment and was charged. I was then discharged for noncompliance but I was actively seeing them. Would not recommend unprofessional don't recommend”
“The therapist that I worked with was great but no longer works at this office (thankfully). I was told that my insurance would cover my visits and that everything was verified however that was not the case. I understand that sometimes things get mixed up with insurance and was very reasonable when they called me with a very large bill as I had already had several visits. There were still outstanding claims on my file so we agreed that they would call me back with my final bill and to set up a payment plan. They never called me back with my final bill and simply sent me to collections. When I called back to explain the situation the receptionist and assistant to director, Jeannette, was very dismissive, did not apologize for their mistake, and simply told me that they deleted my file and she has no access to any information about me at this point. I’m very disappointed with how they handled the situation and would warn anyone against coming here.”
