“My daughter started school based therapy this year. Ms. Bland has been so amazing for her. She saw right away how my daughter loves to draw, so she incorporated that into her sessions to make her feel comfortable while talking. Besides routine therapy, if she's there and my daughter isn't having a great day she always welcomes her to come in with her and talk. As a parent, I also find that her communication with me throughout this process top tier. She has such a great relationship with the students and it shows. You can tell they all have so much love for her.”

“My daughter was assessed 3 weeks ago and since she wasn’t suicidal the woman made us wait 3 weeks to get in the schedule. The day finally comes and because I have to work, I was 15 min late to leave work, drive to get my daughter, and get there. I called to notify them that we would be late and they refused to see her. I’m no rocket scientist but don’t therapy appointments last an hour normally? So if a therapist scheduled an hour of their time to talk to my child then why can’t they see her for whatever amount of time that’s left of the session? Anything would be better than nothing. The receptionist would not even check with the therapist to ask, she just shut me down immediately. For a place to help people with mental illness and counseling you would think they would try to be more flexible and easier to work with, but instead it’s like pulling teeth to get help for your child. There shouldn’t be strict written in stone policies, especially whichever one says the receptionist makes all the decisions. So disappointed in the level of giving a damn for their patients (kids).!”

“I wish I could give zero stars. They repeatedly told me I did not have proper paperwork per their policy, did my childs assessment wasting my time and insurance charges then refused to see him due to my custody paperwork. I saw a lawyer after who stated I had full legal custody and decision making ability for the child. All I know is some receptionist on a power trip refused to allow my son medical care, and the other reviews do not get better. Nobody wants to look at the Google reviews for your child's doctor and see sexual abuse comments, yall keep reading! That does not give trust and confidence. I emailed them before this review they were unwilling to even talk about it and they should not be allowed around children.”

“The service provided by the NOVA center is wonderful for the kids in our school! They not only care for our students, but they care for our entire families as a whole, who receive services through the NOVA center. Our school based person who comes here is also caring, kind, and goes above and beyond for our students and staff. The students look forward to their time when she comes to our school! Not only do the kids enjoy their time, but you can tell how much our school based counselor/social worker thoroughly LOVES and enjoys the students, and her time here! She is always bubbly and cheerful, which is great for the students as well. Keep it up NOVA center! Absolute necessity for our kids!”
