What patients say on Google

“****Do NOT go to this facility!! I am extremely disappointed with Northwestern Imaging. It has been over 12 days (Only counting WORKING day) since my mammogram, and I still do not have any results. I have called four times and still can’t get clear answers. This level of delay is completely unacceptable, especially for something as important and time-sensitive as breast health. When patients are left waiting this long, it creates unnecessary stress and anxiety. Communication has been poor, and there seems to be no urgency in providing answers. I expected much better care and efficiency. I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for reliable imaging services.”

“So the manager to this outfit decided to cancel an appointment I had been waiting months for, I had some labs done with my primary and needed further evaluation so I received a referral so I can find out what type of thyroid issue I have. Because it’s really having impact on my life. And this person decided for me to cancel my appointment. Saying to me we reached out to you and sent a letter. Well the letter was delivered after the fact. I would’ve thought it might have been scanned into patient portal. So disappointing. This is the second time I’ve had a horrific experience with this healthcare system.”

“Dr. Lupo did my mom's knee replacement revision surgery on May 4, 2023. The primary surgery was done in June of 2022. My mom has brought up concerns of instability, imbalance and pain to him at the follow up appointments. She's been going to him for about a year. He put in his notes that my mom had good ligaments and that the pain she was feeling wasn't related to the knee at all. We weren't convinced so we went to get a second opinion and now I'm being told there is a third surgery on the table for my moms knee and now her hip because her knee hardware shifts side to side. The instability caused imbalance, adding strain to her hip and lower back. As my mom and I brought up these concerns to him he became very rude and told us to go somewhere else. We did and that's where we found out that he may have done a lousy job and was trying to hide it. This was quickly discovered by the new doctor and he showed me what the issue was with her knee but he doesn't recommend surgery because I could lose my leg entirely below the knee. That's how an honest doctor makes recommendations to his patients. This should have been quickly discovered and corrected by Lupo and this could have been avoided. Instead I was walking around with a loose knee 1 year after revision surgery and my Dr. Lupo saw no issue. Doctors are supposed to have empathy for their patients. The more we went to see him, the more we began to lose hope.”

“The radiology staff and doctor (as in, people with "Dr." in front of their name) are awesome; this negative review does not apply to them. The rest of the staff need a lesson in professionalism. The following tasks should not be a challenge to any modern medical practice: - Scheduling an appointment over the phone - Rescheduling the appointment that *Northwest Medicine themselves chose to cancel* - Changing doctors / moving offices should not be a burden (and even if it is a burden, the patient should be oblivious to it) - Phone conversations about changing doctors should be free of whining, complaining, and protesting from office staff - Office staff should either allow me to transfer offices without complaint, or forbid it. No patient needs the experience of "FINE we transferred you, but we're gonna lecture and whine and make it a problem for you because you asked" attitude - Office staff should have access to the same up to date scheduling information and not fall out of sync with each other during phone tag - It's funny I ended up in phone tag because their hold message attempts to promise "no phone tag" Transferring my care from the Warrenville office to the Bloomingdale office was obviously very difficult for the scheduling staff and the nurse who was so inconvenienced by it that she delivered a lecture to me, in front of my child, on the importance of not transferring my care before beginning our appointment. If it's so difficult for them, then they shouldn't allow transfers between offices. I write this because 1. it's unprofessional and I expect more of medical staff, and 2. I typically go to Duly, who struggles with virtually every aspect of running a medical business yet somehow does not struggle in THIS specific way. For all of Duly's faults, at least they understand that sometimes patients start at one office because of appointment availability, and then move their longer-term care to an office near their home. That's basic stuff, and the patient doesn't need to be made to feel bad for doing it.”
