What patients say on Google
“No matter how many times I call and bug them, I always have trouble getting my prescription refilled. Now have to wait all weekend with withdrawals because nowhere is open. Northwestern’s only suggestion in the meantime was go to the ER— because I should give them more money to try and solve a problem they created by not refilling necessary psychiatric medication in time. Ridiculous. Will be leaving.”
“I have become increasingly frustrated with the recent care I have received. I do not know whoever is responsible, but ever since I have come into your care, getting medication has become a complete hassle and I am beginning to become very unhappy with my care here. I know back last year, I was trying to have my medication refilled and it took over a week to get it done. At the time, it was because the person working in the front office didn't notify my doctor to send a refill. Once again, I had an issue in August, and requested for my prescription to be sent to the CVS pharmacy on close to home , versus the one by my school. I mentioned that I will not be living on campus and to change my prescription to be filled at the CVS near my house. The person made a note, but when to my pharmacy for a refill, I was told my prescription was sent to the cvs by my school. After a few days, my prescription was sent to the CVS near me. However, I was told they were out of stock of my medication until the 16th. I called in on to Northwestern medicine on Thursday, explaining my situation and if my prescription could be transferred to Walgreens who was in stock. I explained the situation and that it was urgent- I did not feel comfortable or that it was safe going of my medication for so long. I told them to please send it through as possible because I knew I would be out of medication until Monday going into the weekend. Yet nothing was done. I'm not sure who keeps messing this all up- my Doctor or someone in the office responsible for getting messages to my physician. However I am sick of dealing with so much hassle to get medication and I'm concerned that these people who are responsible for my care, do not seem to understand from a medical standpoint that being off medication for so long is not good. I use to see Dr. Lauden at this practice, but he left. It was never this much of a hassle to have my prescription refilled under Lauded. Lauden always addressed my concerns promptly and Lauden was aware of how serious dealing with medication was. I never had the issues I do now when I was in the care of Lauden and his staff. At this point, I will be finding a new practice as soon as possible.”
