How likely are you to recommend Northwestern Medicine Ben Gordon Center DeKalb First Street?
What patients say on Google
“Traumatizing experience, 1 star is too much. The goal post kept moving to "meet the requirements" to see the psychiatrists. When I pointed out that I felt that they had MORE than enough information, they still refused to see me for medication management. And this was all after going over a verbal assessment over the phone that was incredibly invasive and uncomfortable. I didn't initially write a review because it was so upsetting, but when I called the hospital to speak with a different office (that I had no problem making an appointment for), they transferred me to the Ben Gordon center by mistake. The 4 minute exchange with the receptionist was not pleasant and if I never talk to anyone there again, I would be thrilled. She spoke over me and her tone is not suitable for a receptionist in any capacity. Its really concerning that this office may serve individuals with fragile mental states and treat them like THAT. Shameful.”
“I attended therapies here everything was going very well until they learned that I was about to give birth and for which I missed therapy during that time they decided to end my services without letting me know anything by phone only by letter they told me that they would no longer give me services that I would try to weigh the process again as the beginning when I explained to them what time was going to be missing now I understand the reason for the scoring of the stars but I hope and this will help something and it will not happen to any pregnant mother or discriminated against since that's how I feel for being in the process of giving birth the truth is I don't recommend it here 👎🏻”
“I see I am far from the only one who they stopped services for and left me with nothing. I wish we could all get together and lodge a complaint against them. They dropped me for reasons that were similar to Josie's, and because I got upset that my case manager had been refusing to take my calls or call me back for days. They refuse to listen to my side of what happened. They make assumptions instead of talking to me and being receptive to what I have to say.”
“Stopped my services completely because I know what’s better for me then a team of people who have never talked to me! Refused to even put me on the waiting list for a therapist… I know it must be hard to fathom that a client might actually know what will work and what won’t work… maybe just maybe start listening to your clients needs over your ego!”
