“Wish I read reviews before daughter took her son there. Went to have grandson evaluated to see if he was adjusting to all the changes in life, moving to new state, new home, new school all so he could be closer to dad. He's been a little rough with a kitten and we wanted to make sure he was ok and not acting out for a reason we could address with new tools than we've been trying. Spent a hour with the evaluator and someone sitting in to learn the process. Decided to do home visits due to the kitten being there and they could see what he does and address right away. We mentioned that we had a dog who is reactive to adult strangers and we would put him in a crate when they came. This dog never ever went after us or grandson. Next thing we know daughter gets a call from cys and told if the dog bit her son she would be charged with child abuse and the child would be removed. I was a mandated reporter for 27 years in CT and not one thing was said in evaluation that would warrant a call. Sadly due to the call we were in do much fear that our grandson would say something out of context and cys would get called again or if he tripped over dog and he reacted in pain they would be called. We euthanized the dog, we are still so devastated over this. We will not be returning to this counseling service and they know why and no one has called to see if anything could be done. Horrible people.”

“I wish I could give this place zero stars. I don’t even know where to begin. My daughter is patient here and started seeing a therapist. They were supposed to see her once a week until the family based program that was recommended kicked in. The first two weeks were great and then things went downhill dramatically. The third week she was supposed to be seen I took the appointment time off work and then they called at 7am that morning to cancel because the therapist had an emergency. (Okay things happen), When I requested to reschedule for the next available appointment the appointment was two weeks out (that puts no counseling for my daughter for three weeks). I was furious and requested to speak with the office manager, i was put through to Jeffs voicemail, he never called me back, I waited two days called again requested yet again to speak with Jeff was told they would send him an email or a note and he would call me back. To this day still haven’t heard from him not sure if he even exists or just doesn’t care about the people in this office. Meanwhile dealing with all of this appointment nonsense we had signed up for their in house pharmacy delivery service. Sounds great right? Wrong. The woman in charge of this program sucks!!!! My daughter rx ran out twice because they don’t have it together. Fast forward to today when I’m writing this review we had an 8:20am appointment, arrived 10 minutes early, there is a sign in the office that says if you’ve waited 15 minutes past your appointment time to let the receptionist know. So at 8:35 I let the receptionist know our appointment time was 15 minutes ago. She says okay I’ll let her know. She comes back a few moments later and says the dr is running behind. I asked how long as at this point the appointment time was 20 minutes ago. She says I’m not sure I’m just the messenger, but you can reschedule if you don’t want to wait ( I cannot afford to take a whole nother morning off work). I went and sat back down. 5 minutes after this conversation an “administrative manager” comes to me and says I’m really sorry but there was a glitch in the messaging system and we were delayed in being notified that you were here and the dr started an evaluation with the next patient and that will take about an hour. I said excuse me but we were here ten minutes early how come nobody came to get us or anything. Well we use electronic communication throughout the office and we got notified late that you were here. And all I can do is apologize. And I replied if I was 20 minutes late you all wouldn’t see us but we’re expected to wait an hour to be seen. Unacceptable patient treatment and handling of these issues. These people do not care about your job that your trying to work and get your kid the help they need they have screwed up and failed my child as a patient more times than I can count. Please find somewhere else for you or your loved one no one deserves to be put through this being ignored, shoved off and disrespected you and your family deserve better.”

“Secretaries are friendly when greeted for appointments and Med staff are attentive. My needs are always heard and addressed appropriately. The NTC Staff appear to enjoy their jobs and have smiles when walking through the building. The environment is calm and welcoming.”
