What patients say on Google

“Nice and professional staff. Happy to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you guys!”

“We need to organize to get money into this place or get it completely takwn out. My wife is forced to stay there with the staff treating it like a jail contact with family is highly discouraged even though studies show otherwise. Her 72 hours were legally up yesterday but they have yet to produce any paperwork. I can call her for 10 minutes and she can call me for 10 minutes. There is a woman named Debra that has an issue with anyone that sees her as a nurse and not a co because she has belittled and degraded both my wife and I. She is delusional. She said that my wife won't get treatment if we're hanging out on the phone all day but the thing is that it has been stated that never has been a moment she was actually able to use the reck equipment or do anything healthy.so she is FORCED to have to lay in her bed. Until she can do a class or see a Dr. I don't know know but this girl is scared and she is a fresh mother. They are traumatizing her in the name of mental health. Outpatient after the full time would work perfect but the nurses know nothing about the benefits of reality not just sitting on meds starting at a wall. If you have family or you have experienced it please get a hold of me and we can dismantle this place. It is a strong relic of the early 1900s psychwards. I have talked to a couple good nurses they seem to have no need to understand their client's. This is a mother with postpartum depression of a 2 month old. She had a little anger not even violent and made a few statements that should be taken care of.”

“The staff here does what they can to make you feel welcome and secure. If someone doesn't know how to help you, they will try to find someone better suited for you. I've been with 4 therapists there due to insurance changes, retirement, and a wonderful woman who knew someone else was better suited to assist me. I cannot complain about anyone I've had help me.”

“I initially went there for coping with hallucinations and how to cope with my trauma. They never did any of those. I told them that I absolutely did not want to be on drugs due to past experiences, but kept pushing the idea on me. Instead they would crack open my trauma, not tell me how to deal with it, and then send me on my way, feeling overwhelmed with flashbacks for the rest of the day/week. At one point, the therapist didn't know what I was talking about when I was talking about me being raped for the first time, and she said "that's gotta be exciting ;)". I corrected her and felt disgusting. At one point, one of the ladies told me that they'd do electroshock therapy if I was bad enough, which included not having the energy to get out of bed. Terrified, I didn't keep going and I called her up and told her off. She said she was 'joking". But I knew that electroshock therapy was good and alive now in days. Not to mention I'm trans and she never ever used my preferred name or pronouns, even when corrected. "It's too hard" she said. My birth name is harder to pronounce than "Ed" or "Eddie". The Bowen Center is so much better. Don't waste your time and money here.”
