“I rarely write reviews, but I went so far as making a whole account dedicated to reviews because of my experience with North Raleigh Psychiatry From the moment I first reached out, I have had a great experience with the NRP team. Ms. Kelly has been great and has made sure to even follow up her email responses with calls when I forget to respond, which happens a good bit because of my ADHD. Dr. Snow is brilliant. He takes the time to really understand your situation and offers excellent suggestions and treatment while also treating you with respect and valuing what you have to say. He is thorough and extremely intelligent, yet he never acts like he is smarter or better than you. His suggestions never seem pushy. He creates a comforting environment and is easy to talk to and appointments feel more like meeting with a friend or mentor who wants to help you and see you make progress towards the life you want to live instead of someone who just wants to write you a script and move on. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Snow.”

“Everyone at NRP has been supportive and wonderful to work with, including the front desk staff. 3 of us go there so we were there a lot in the beginning. Our teens love working with Dr. Velosa. They feel like he really listens to them and lets them be active participants in their care. We never feel rushed or like they’re just another patient to push through the system. Dr. Olarte is equally as caring and inclusive. I feel like we are a team working for the same goal, instead of a doctor just telling me what I should do… Everyone we’ve interact with over the years has been pleasant. One of our teens loves the fish tank. Even though we don’t see Dr. Snow as patients, he will talk to them when he is taking care of the fish. And the front desk staff has been nothing but kind and helpful. We have been late to appointments, and accidentally forgot an appointment, but we were fully aware of the office policies. They have never been rude or condescending, even when I’m just calling to see what movie is playing before our appointments :). My whole family highly recommends NRP.”

“The office staff are outstanding. They are very professional, kind and empathic. I have been under Dr. Olarte's care at least 5 years. Dr. Olarte is empathic, knowledgeable, and respectful. He sees me as an individual and listens (not rushing) to develop my plan of care that fits my need/condition. I pay out of pocket to see Dr. Olarte since he is not in my network and it's worth it.”
