What patients say on Google
“I've had three very negative experiences. Ten years ago I was a few minutes late to an appointment. I apologized and was asked to wait because the therapist wasn't ready. Twenty minutes later , I was finally admitted only after I asked about it. During the session, my therapist was visibly distracted, glancing constantly at the clock. When I asked her about it, she mentioned the session was almost over. This was about seven minutes before the end of the session. I said that I didn't appreciate her watching the clock when she hadn't bothered to admit me until halfway through the session. She LIED to my face and said she hadn't. My second experience was a few years ago. The sessions were going well until I brought up a situation involving the shooting of a four year old child by police. I was familiar with some particular details of the situation. The therapist repeated an unsubstantiated rumor that was being spread, in what I believe was an effort to give me reassurance. After she left the organization, she admitted to me that she had been mistaken, and possibly misled. Today, I attended a session for which I have been mentally preparing for more than a month. Shortly after I was let into the appointment, 5 minutes after the start time, I was informed that I could reschedule for next week if I wanted the full hour. Otherwise they were going to have to cut it short by half, because management had scheduled a noon meeting at the last minute, right in the middle of my session. I think they're hurting me more than helping me at this point.”
“Saw a post online of an email exchange of a friend’s where the therapist gas lit, and then shoved the solution to contacting the supervisor Brandi in Macon instead of answering questions/concerns and simply communicating. People are struggling with mental health challenges and they turn it into a money scheme. No care, compassion, understanding… absolutely disgusting, and will not be referring or continuing services!”
“They’re angels until you’re almost healed. Perfect example of healthcare and police being overrun by bullies who think they know you more than you know yourself, and think no one in the community sees the mistreatment of outcasts. You’ll get bullied in your community until your meds are completely so far up, there will be no soul left in you. HIPPA is not followed. Gossip galore. Your safety isn’t taken seriously. Don’t ever expect the nurses to actually answer the phone. Don’t ever expect anyone here, or anywhere in the healthcare system for that matter, to be your friend unless you want to be a science experiment.”
“This is a HORRIBLE organization! I brought my son here for therapy and to see a psychiatrist. The first counselor we had was fabulous! Then she called me one day to say she was leaving. He was then transferred to a different counselor named Karen. This counselor only saw my son twice in person due to COVID 19. One of the appointments I asked for a referral to a doctor. Who of which is located in canton. We went and saw the doctor. She was amazing! I really liked her. Well over the next month or so, the counselor had scheduled counseling through zoom meetings with my son instead of in person. She did not appear at these appointments and in her notes she claims my son was not present. Which was not true at all. Long story short, this counselor left the association as well, but this one didn't call me to inform me.She also, closed my son's case without my knowledge. Which results in the doctor dropping him as a patient as well. NOBODY TOLD ME THIS. so they left my son without much needed therapy and medication needs.”
