“I am a patient advocate working with a client who has serious mental health needs and is experiencing homelessness. The Norfolk Community Services Board has been involved in his care for over a year and has failed him at every level. He has not been taken to a single adult mental health activity in that entire year. Not one. Prior to their involvement, he cycled in and out of jail repeatedly because of his untreated mental illness and homelessness. That is exactly the population the CSB exists to serve and stabilize. Instead, they have done nothing meaningful. His psychiatric condition was not communicated to his support network until it was too late to intervene. When I reached out seeking support and resources, the response I received made clear that no real help would come until he either harmed himself or someone else. That is not care. That is neglect dressed up in clinical language. The staff I interacted with were neither helpful nor compassionate. If you have a loved one who is vulnerable and needs real advocacy, please know that this organization may not show up for them the way they deserve.”

“Overall they were helpful and a blessing to me. But like any business there can be some bad apples in the crate. I just kept it professional and stayed humble at all times. But definitely some will fight harder for you more than others and it shows 💯 I do wanna Shout out Ms Thomas. She was extremely helpful with the whole process of my filing for disability and gathering all my information ect ECT ECT. She is Definitely A Good Soul.”

Every time I came here for an appointment they never spoke to me about what I left on the voicemails or did anything to help me. “Case managers are obslete top it off . The only doctor they have had a angry, pms, bi polar explosion over the video call appointment. I left and got a new mental health doctor that doesn't have mental issues herself.”
