“I absolutely love the care I’ve gotten so far and I truly feel like everyone in at this practice takes their job seriously and cares about what they do. I appreciate How much they have shown me How are things can feel versus how things in the past have felt dealing with Mental health facilities. I support this place And hope it stays the way it is. It’s small local and basic and that’s just what I needed. I don’t want to be in a place that feels like a gimmick or Money hungry And Somehow doesn’t take Medicaid or other healthcare. Find a way to accommodate all people. If you can’t get certified through Medicaid now I’m looking at people sideways Cuz. It seems like there’s a reason. These mental health facilities need to be held to a standard And Helping people with their mental health and being in that role is super important and takes education, training and talent. So far, I am very pleased and hope great things for them in the future.”

“This place is a hot mess!! My experience from the very beginning was problematic: their portal was not accepting the images of my insurance card/license for some reason when I was registering; the front desk person called me no fewer than 5 times in one day (while I'm trying to work) to tell me it didn't work and to try again, I finally reminded her that I was happy to bring the actuals with me to the appointment. Secondly, the NP never told me I needed to get information from my primary Dr. for my second appt, and acted like I was an idiot that I didn't do it. Kind of weird when I'm LITERALLY there due to my issues with executive functions, but to top it off, they never even gave me the form that I would need to give to the primary to get to the information in the first place LOL. Then, she tried to give me a different medication "because they have a ton of samples" and told me I didn't need to take it daily and that I would feel the effects immediately, when I looked the meds up you do IN FACT need to take it daily, as well as it taking 6 weeks to actually show a benefit. At that point, I just tossed the meds and decided never to go back. Now the icing on the cake- they sent me a bill for two co-pays that I knew I already paid. When I called the office the front desk lady told me "No you didn't"!!! I informed her that I was looking at the credit card statement... then magically she figured it out. So on top of it all I got gaslit to boot. Pretty amazing that a mental health facility can actually make your mental health even worse, but they managed to!!”

“I was in need of a pediatric psychological evaluation to diagnose any disorders in my child. It makes sense that Nimel of Westminster had such a short wait when other places had weeks-months waitlist…because the other places actually probably take the time to properly evaluate. After a lengthy time spent filling out paperwork before our visit, I arrived to what I thought was our evaluation, to find out it was a nursing intake visit and I would need to schedule a second visit with a provider. The nurse admitted that I wasn’t the only one to not be informed of that process and that their intake people needed to do a better job explaining on the phone. We spent approximately 20 minutes there, and the nurse said ‘you’d be surprised by the number of people who don’t fill out the paperwork like you did so there’s not really anything for us to talk about.’ She was enough, but just read aloud what I had filled out. They charged my insurance $310 for this visit. The facility itself is not inviting and not decor that you would expect in a mental health facility. My child was afraid of the Matador stabbing the bull artwork in the small dark waiting room. The intake with the nurse was done in a bare large room with old mismatch furniture lining the wall. No calming paint colors, no activities to make it inviting for a child. Next, the actual eval visit we had to come back for lasted 50 minutes from arrival to departure. A typical psych eval is 1-2hours. They took my child’s vital signs in the waiting room, no privacy. The psych NP did no standard tests or really engage with my child to determine diagnosis. After discussion only, she made a recommendation for a typical ADHD med that we then went through her pediatrician to prescribe and monitor. They charged my insurance $205.50 for the visit and $125 for recommending the med. I informed my pediatrician who wasn’t familiar with Nimel of my experience and she took them off their list of available specialities in the area so she wouldn’t recommend them to patients.”
